White shark sighting | SURFLINE LOS ANGELES

Quote:
Posted: (05/22)

On May 14 a Great White Shark was seen breeching the water in Palos Verdes Cove. The approximate size of the shark was 8-9ft. The underside of the shark was seen during the breech clearly showing the white belly. May 21 a second sighting occurred only 20ft from the surfers in the line up. Four eyewitnesses have confirmed seeing the shark on three different occasions.
If anyone spots this shark please shoot me an email. ladvr89@yahoo.com

Thanks

p.s. Might be a good idea to keep speared fish off your stringer. Maybe on a float or sponger.

Do you think that's the same shark that's been seen around Hag's/Malaga? It seems to be about the same length. Will keep an eye..or two out.

No and I doubt the shark sightings in the cove are the same shark.

Dive safe!

I was at the top by where the Surfline reports came from and saw two or three sea lions about 500 yds off the kelp. Forgot the binoculars, but I could see them racing around zig-zagging and spending as much time out of the water as possible. Couldn't distinguish too much else, but I was hoping something would explode under them. I watched for a few minutes, but it was too hard to keep track in the windswell/glare.

I went diving Monday and before I got in I had a random guy approach me and start preaching about god and to be careful of things that bite in the ocean. That coupled with the sightings made me a little nervous and I cut my dive short. I know they are out there but its different when many people see them and they are jumping about. How much safer can you dive knowing the taxman is out and about in 10 foot viz?
