Hello!
Can somebody help me about spearfishing informations in Punta Cana and St. Martin? Is it allowed in this places? where is the best place St Martin or Punta? I'm from Brazil and I'm planning to go there with my wife in january and I would love spear some fishes.

I know nothing about Punta Cana or St. Maarten. Sorry for that. I am from Minnesota, USA and my wife is from Sao Paulo. We will be in Brasil for a few months this winter. I am hoping to do a lot of spearing.
We will be staying near Maresias most of the time. Where do you usually spear? Any recommendations?
We hope to travel north towards Salvador, maybe Recife at some point. I love your country and your culture. If all goes well we will live in Brasil part time for years, and maybe full time one day...
Don't know where Punta Cana is but if the St Maarten is in the Caribbean Island chain I can offer plenty of info for you, let me know and I will elaborate
punta cana is in Dominican republic. Ive heard there are FAD's in the bluewater down there.
St Maarten is a tiny island shared between the Dutch and the French, it is legal on the french side and you can easily buy a speargun on that side... It is not allowed on the Dutch side but it is tolerated as the territory is so small. There are FADS and the blue water spearing is great, the reefs are not so great though unless you go far offshore to Saba banks
