Be careful there with restless reef sharks because people of the scuba diving center have been using to feed bull sharks and to make these predator ''thinking'' that humans = feed/preys...

Longline fishing may use a several miles long cable which is drifting on the sea surface with thousands of baited hooks...The bycatch is made of sharks, turtles, sea mammals, rays, sea birds which get discarded or used for baiting hooks!! This destructive fishing technic is wiping out fish population and by catch where it's working.

Fresh sardines / mackerels are in my modest opinion the best chuming all over the Blue Planet
these fish are rich in oil that attract the pelagic...
better to keep the chum in a plastic bag to keep the oil and do not wash the fish
have to throw slowly from the surface each fish one after the other ... and wait on the same spot
it may takes one hour or more depends of the current

Atlantic North Coast of canada on different spots... weather there is the master of the game..
Have to tell an EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE: during the first minutes and at the time I'm swimming in the middle of the school made of about hundred of tunas or more, if an herring do swimming close to me the tuna do attacking and swallow the prey as if I do not exist... After and in the same context they do rushing close to the prey but avoiding eating it. Is the message: Welcome to the school and take your cut!! an amazing feeling.
Usuualy a couple of whale is taking part to the slaughter
An other observation : there is a leader in the school and when it takes off...

stayed in Mexico weeks ago and now in Tanzania...
