I would not think of messing up such a rear Miami phenomenon. Like the time it hailed - I had to collect some and freeze em!:D

    Nice Hogs and snapper Hau!

Thanks for the breakaway tip shots guys! Am I seeing correctly the tip looks blunt?!

I just got a spare shaft for the Euro and decided to go with a Riffe Breakaway ice pick tip:

Keys - I was not there. I'm just trying to look at the subtle diferences between a lot of groupers. many look so similar except for little things. I was theorizing that it could be a yellowmouth because I could not easily distinguish either the squares or the black borders on tail and fins like this black:

makes it tough to tell esp moving fish underwater - and I might be lettin some legal yellow mouths or scamps slide thinking they are short blacks!

here's another pic comparing a scamp top to yellowmouth (bottom)

alternately he looks close to the yellow mouth in this pic:

Sheet, that's too bad Greek. It was the perfect song for that video! :angry5:

Pargo - I think u on to something man, SeaWeed's always trying to stretch something! :rolleyes1:

JimCuda - you missed a nice event yesterday (PCA autocross) the course was real fun, 8 laps of drifting!
PS: ER is racing at Moroso next Sunday - hope to see the Evo back on the track this year dude.

Had a great day with spearos Scott Rapp and friend, fishingdude, yaudon, flamencoguru
and LunkerBuster. I had to quit early and they were still slayin the fish:) I don't know what all
they got, hopefully they will all tell their fish stories:D I did a hail Mary shot at a passing big cero, saw him
flash once and then he was out of sight and line started going off my reel:D He must had been almost to the end of my double wrap RA130[aprox 25f from the gun tip] when I hit him as the shaft did not come out the other side of him. The hit was good and he was hurt bad but I could not put any tension on the line for fear of him tearing off. I yelled for help and Scott swam towards me. I yelled 'shoot him, shoot him 'and Scott put a perfect shot through the cero and I was able to get a hand in the ceros throat. The cero measured 34inches. We
couldn't believe the whole event:D I might have lost the cero without Scotts perfect shot:)
A great day with good spearos doing what we love to do. Thanks to all

Nice report Hau, Makes me want to dust off the old kayak and give this a go! :thumbsup2:

Nice haul SeaSpliff! Mc'Lovin those hogs dude!

At first I thought you harpooned that grouper man, ... but I guess it looks like you just started cleaning him ey?!

and Harry after seeing your video, I can't get that Red Hot Chilli Peppers song out o my head man! Good stuff! :thumbsup2:

I never saw the bull shark though.

See, that's what gives me the chills. That shark passed right behind you man! It was like standing in front the shark tank at sea world! except with no glass! :D

He looks so majestic and peaceful when he's just effortlessly cruising by :)

Ron, Kick ass report! :thumbsup5: Glad you had fun. Consider carrying these powerheads in the future http://spearfishing.world/divi…rhead-and-belt-pouch.html Aside from the comfy false sense of security they'll give you you'll probably also have enough time and presence of mind to use them in a situation similar to what you described.

Thanks Pargo, I’ll check it out. But considering my shaft was in the jack at the time, and I would estimate it took place in a matter of less than 10 seconds ( I was still pulling the line in to me) I don’t think I would have been able to use it anyway, right? :confused1:

Rolo – I did offer him the golden shower – but he declined. I almost proceeded anyway thinking that he might be delirious ...

I guess I’m lucky that I’ve never been stung by a man-o-war. On the last dive, however, I had on full suit and hood and jelly zapped me on the lip! That's right on the freakin lip! Threw me back a couple feet!:imok:
