Larry, If you wait we're probably going Thursday 14. Confirm if you want to go and we need two more guys.

What are the dangers of the sea of Cortez? Are there GWS, Bulls, Tigers?
-
Do you spearfish the Pacific coast or the sea of Cortez?
-
I just did some image searching in google and I believe what you have there is Pacific Cubera. No wonder they get big.

Good pics Toño The one in your right hand is a grouper right? What is the actual scientific name of your Pargo? In Cuba Pargo is mutton snapper so here in Florida amongst ourselves we call it that. I realize that the Spanish spread that name and applied it to various species of snapper. Our Pargo (mutton snapper) doesn't get that big I believe. The biggest one I've shot was around 10-12lb in Bahamas, if I remember correctly. I've never shot a big one like that here. The snappers that we do get really big here are Cuberas. Those can take your gear.

How big are your pargos?

I don't think it's because of that. I believe it's because people value them a lot and risk themselves to land one. Rolo told me a story that happened to a friend of his that was stalking a Pargo. It was a crafty fish and would always stay just out of range. This made the diver believe that he's very close to getting the fish, if he could only make a better effort. This kept going on for a while until the diver realized that this fish is going to kill him and gave it up.

Did this just happen or is it something from the past? What fish was it?

o man , the night before had only a couple. Don't I look cool with them or what?
If I had a pair like that, lost 50lb and caught a fish I'd put up pics of myself too

Like Ray Charles with Hepatitis :cool2:

Good story
The other fish must be yours too, unless Bolo cleans the same way.. And you're complaining about catching nothing but the big one
Are the sunglasses to hide the borrachera of the previous night?
