Brad pit is one of my favorites, a gifted actor.

I'm curious if anybody liked the movie Walk Hard, the Dewey Cocks story?

I did not like it. It was obvious they were making fun of Walk the line, the Johnny Cash movie. I will confess that I thought the movie was so bad and 20 minutes into it, we decided we had enough.

I saw The Assasination of Jesse James last night staring Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck. I was not too hopeful on the movie going in, but I enjoyed it. This was not the typical Jesse James movie, it was more focused on Bob Ford, who shot and killed Jesse in the back. Brad Pitt produced it and although it dragged a bit (2.5 hours), it was still enjoyable.

I am certified but haven't dove in years, especially at that depth.

    Alan,

There's a guy out in Marathon that seems to enjoy scuba spearing on the same spot over and over and over again. You should PM him over on spearbored. I forget his username, but he's the one that posts his pictures over and over and over again and also pierces his nipples. Hope you guys hook up.^^

got out yesterday Saturday 11/15,on Hubert's boat

trip sucked and had to return with one engine, it took us 3 hours to get to marina

Last week I was out and we were escorted back to the ramp by Seatow after the boat did not turn over around noon time. On Friday, the boat stalled about 200 yards from the boat ramp and we just swam it back.

    Gerald,

I feed my 20 pounder about 6.5-7 ounces per day. My ~100 pounder gets around 19-20 ounces. As you can see per pound, my larger dog gets much less, but she did have a serious issue being overweight before this diet and I've just kept it up. Sometimes they get much less as I give them a large bone that they usually strip it of the meat and fat and are unable to break the bone into smaller pieces, in these cases they end up getting only a fraction of their usual amount, but spend several hours gnawing at the bones and are usually tired afterwards.

There is a pdf file I have that talks about the appropriate amount. I'll find it and email it to you. I know this may seem anal, but I do weigh their food using a postal digital weight machine:S.

Javier Barden had a minor role in Collateral with Tom Cruise and Jamie Fox. He made a movie about a Cuban poet called Before Night Falls that was one of his best performances.

Interesting thing just happend, I went over to Netflix and was adding a few movies suggested here to my queue. After I added Magnificent Seven, I get a pop-up of other movies I may enjoy. Some of you may find this amusing and others it will be over their heads:

I thought BARF was just an acronym for Bone and Raw Food. Did not know someone actually coined it.

Since I made the switch to raw diet, my larger breed dog has lost 25 pounds, she is as playful as when she was a pup. Her coat is much shinier and she sheds less. Stepping on a turd is never an issue anymore as they only desintegrate into dust. Their teeth seem to be cleaner as well as I try to give them a large bone every Sunday. I have incorporated ground flax seed just a little sprinkled over their servings everyday. My smaller dog never seemed to be enthusiastic when eating her former food. Now, she comes running to it and jumps around in excitement. I know it has contributed to their quality of life. If you ask your vet about raw diet and they give you an answer of its potential hazards or do not recoomend it. I suggest you look for another vet.

Those are all great movies Jim and I've actually seen most of them, particularly the ones from Akira Kurosawa. I remember my father always used to say that he was an exceptional director. I also loved all the spagetthi westerns, particularly The G, The B and The U. Its theme is actually the ring tone on my cell phone.

My favorite western is The Wild Bunch. I haven't seen the Magnificent Seven, but will now. Thanks!

We saw a good movie this weekend, Curse of the Golden Flower. It is Chinese or Taiwan, not sure but very entertaining, with great battle scenes and a good script. The chinese girl from Miami Vice is in it.

Dan aren't your favorite "dogs" of the breed Jacques "Le Coq" Grandes <img src= " height="23" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x">

    Le Gureux D'Amor:)

I seriously doubt there would be a sequel and I don't think the makers of this film intented there to be one. If you recall the opening of the film had a famous quote by Will Durant (who btw is one of the best American Historian ever) that basically stated that all great civilizations are destroyed from within. Thus the main theme appeared to be portraying the Mayan civilization initiating the seeds that led to its destruction even before the Europeans landed on their shores. Also, it being a Mel Gibson film, he usually tends to just direct films without sequels.

There are alot of films out there that I wish would never have had any sequels. This film was so good, I hope this will be the case as well.

I enjoyed it too. I saw "Don't mess with the Zohan" yesterday. It was not bad, the first 10 minutes were the funniest to me. The movie did seem to be too long for that type of genre and it dragged.

Try to watch Mongol. I saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. I think Pantoja saw it too and liked it. You may enjoy it as it is a foreign movie and the director is Russian. It is about the early years of Genghis Kahn. It has fantastic landscape scenes and it looks like it was filmed predominantly in the steppes. It also had a mostly Mongol casts.

I saw all of those. I like Vigo M and have seen most of his movies.

God, we sound like a bunch of nerds ;)

Rolo, you in town Friday night? I'm dropping my mom of in Jupiter for a seminar. Let me know if you want to have a beer.

I'm always down to have a beer although I was in Chicago for over a week (No, Gerald. I was not there to listen to Obama's acceptance speech;)) and promised the wife a dinner date Friday evening.

Can you imagine the voyage these guys took to turn a corner of a river and not knowing what to expect on the other side. With all the Indians roaming around and vast unknowns. All these exployers don't get enough credit sometimes and usually viewed as colonialists just out for riches, but it must have been something in those days to cross an open ocean on a wooden ship and coming ashore to these immense unknown lands. Reminds me of the final scene in Apocalypto where the indians run on shore and see these huge ships anchored and Spaniards rowing towards them.
