Whoa. Those are huge!
How deep is deep? -
Awesome. Great report. Thanks for sharing

Looks good. Where did you get it?
-
frank! You aren't supposed to make it look cool to be out in a storm!

The theory. I say it is bs. Is that the tapered bands move through the water with less turbulence and resistance. So more speed. I can't imagine it makes enough of a difference to effect any thing. Like hundreds of tenths of a second

I would also make sure you have good communication devices and leave a plan with the local sea tow. Most bass boats don't even have radios
-
Oh the thing mark has? ?
What is the range? Satellite capable?
-
Is that an epirb?

Really this thread should be called "learn from the mistakes of others, you won't live long enough to make them all yourself"
Please share any boating lessons or misadventures that helped you learn a good lesson or be a safer spearo on the water.
I'll add my tale in a little when I am not on my phone and can type
-
Hey dan. Can you grab these two stories and put them in the thread I am about to start about boating safety and planning please?

I have no experience w beuchat but I will say riffes have terrible handles. If I were going to be buying a wood gun I'd get the speardiver teak in a heartbeat
-
You know sir, if you can tell the story it ain't that bad. And if you learn a lesson then and get dinner, well then that is pretty alright
Glad you are safe and sound brother. Sounds like a little scary
