awesome we will have to try to get togethor if we are ever going to be planning a trip at the same time. I know a few local eluethera surfers and divers with boats and you wouldnt imagine some of the surf and dive spots they can take you. have you ever spearfished current cut?

Last time i was in Eleuthera i was drinking a kalik with Tony Hawk and Lenny Kravitz at elvinas bar and almost no one even knew who they were. Next day me and Tony surfed head high offshore perfect conditions at surfers beach, no one out but us! Eleuthera is like I would imagine Heaven to be.

nice fish. Where in the bahamas do you go. I usaully hit eleuthera or San Salvador a few weeks a year. i also have a lot of experience with a hawaiin sling and i makes for some challenging fishing. Wish i was in Gregory Town right now looking for a nice hog and some lobsters. Cant beat the out islands of the bahamas!!!!

Thanks for the reply Wood Guy. I was hoping either you or jeff would comment as i know you guys have a lot of experience with cutting tracks.

Wood Guy, Where do you buy those rubber bungs ive seen you use for loading pads and have you had any problems with the rubber

about to start cutting my enclosed epoxy track. I got the neptonics ball cutter and just wondering if anyone knows what a good speed for cutting this thing on and end mill. I can only move the mill table slowly so feed rate cant really be changed. any advice or experience would be appriciated. I will try to post some pics of the gun when finished. its going to be a 60" rear handle tigerwood enclosed track freeshaft/lineshaft gun.

I would also highly recommend tigerwood and it seem easy to work with, similar to teak. Buoyance is nearly perfect and also water resistant. Not to mention the Beauty.

Training for a few international and oylmpic distance events this fall. I just will it would cool off a little bit. It seems the only time i get out of the heat is on my days off when im spearing in 85 degree water. Looking like a possible tropical event might mess up everyones vis for this weekend but at least i will catch some long awaited hurricane swell.

loving this race season so far. Have been doing very well this year with top 10 finishes in evey race ive done. Just pulled 2nd and 3rd place overall finishs back to back weekends. The only guy i cant catch on the bike leg is 56yr old Phillip Rowan! The guy is a beast and consistantly holds 25-26mph average on any sprint distance 10-22 miles. 56yrs old and im only 24. I Love my trusty Eddy Merckx 1982 steel frame that i built up for a tri bike...will try to post some pics of the bike.

How's yor bike fit coming? Been working on mine gradualy for the past 2 years. Finally got it just perfect. Balanced between aero and comfort on long rides. Try using the motion analysis software free on tribikefit.com. to hot to ride lately in nc but I can't wait to hop on the merckx this weekend for a local sprint tri.

i have a lincoln electric mig welder that welds stainless very well with stainless wire and argon/co2 mixed gas. you can probably get a similar setup for a few hundred dollars. Also brazing works very well on stainless if you have a hot enough torch(realy need to be oxygen/acetelne or map/oxygen)

I would recomend a small mig welder sometimes people call it wire feed. Will do a great job with stainless wire and argon/co2 mixed gas hooked up. I have one of these setups and I make great welds on stainless all the time. Just got finished with a badass stainless beer keg grill. You can prob get a cheap setup for a few hundred bucks and get gas at local welding supply or rental store.

Hello fellow freedivers\spearfisherman. Want to thank you all for such a great site with so much information and knowledge. I live in carteret county, NC. I am a marine technician at 70 west marina as well as an avid freediver and spearfisherman. Looking forward to getting to know some of you and possibly a few new diving buddies. Been windy around here this month so I'm dying for some better conditions asap.
