    Marco,

You need to be a PFI or FII diver for two reasons.

#1. The most important and main reason is my freediving insurance requirements.

#2 While there are tons of super experienced spear fishermen, they will not be familiar with our safety procedures which would require me spending lots of time explaining and teaching the safety procedures, this would cut-into the other students diving time who are already familiar with the procedures.

So unfortunately that is why I require the divers to be PFI or FII certified.

Its not because I believe the spearfishermen who have not taken a course lack experience or ability, its just that my insurance requires I only work with certified freedivers. Just like a scuba instructor can't take out un-certified scuba divers and play around with them in the water with out first putting them through a formal training program.

I hope that answers you question.

    Hey everyone,

I'll be running two training trips this Saturday and Sunday leaving out of Fort Lauderdale. Boat will leave the dock around 1:00 and come back around 5-6.

This trip is open to any PFI or FII certified freediver. We will go out to around 1000ft of water and drift for 2-3 hours just like you did during your class, we will be using a carbon fiber rig to do all the dives off of.

I will be proving safety and feedback just like during your freediving class.

Feel free to bring you guns and dive on the lines. Here will be focusing on how to integrate what you learned in your pure freediving class with spearfishing. I'll show you how to make a proper entry with your gun, and I'll show you how to carry the gun on descents in order to maximize efficiency.

Cost of trip is $125 and that includes the boat fees and the instruction.

Call me at 954-324-4444 to book your spot.
