Woa now dont hate too much on dive rs. For long surface swims (couple miles) which is what I do, they are perfect. The angle is great. For boat diving I might hate on them a little as they are heavy and cumbersome at times. They are worth the hype depending on the type of diving you are doing. They are made in Aus where long surface swims are normal. Take them for what they are....

27" band 4" wishbone, center of band hole to back tab is 44"
is that an 18mm band? That is the length I use for 5/8 bands. Also, a 4" wishbone is too long and can cause problems with line wrapping in bands when shot. Cut it down to at least 3" and you can even go shorter. Thanks for the help

anybody care to give their band lengths

just a little food for thought....why was it when there was so much drama with 4Cs (he was not a sponsor) were those threads and the ones when he was selling them allowed to stay when he was not a sponsor?? I think he just liked watching people bash 4Cs....which of course was a good thing in my opinion

That only works for long shafts.:yaydance:;)
For tri tips I use a triangle jig made from 1/4'' aluminum plate with a hole the size of the shaft I'm sharping.A set screw holds the shaft in proper index. The jig lays on the table of my disk sander that I run at reduceed speed to control excessive heat which will anneal the tip if it was heat treated. A long stone can substitute the machine for a quick touch up.
For pencil tips you can mount the shaft in a hand drill that a trusted helper operates while you ''skillfully'' hold against the sanding plate face.
The jig is buried in the garage somewhere, sorry no pics.
Yes I have used the sidewalk/ parking curve in Mexico.:thumbsup2:Cheers.Don
If you have time could you post a couple pics of your jig? :@ I would like to see it

I like red carpet better than green.
Think PH is not sporty.
Like the fact that people can have a difference of opinion and can agree to disagree in a civilized manner more
Like I said on the other board, if you want to shoot a ph or blow bubbles (I have done it many times) I don't care. If you want to pump your chest give me the common courtesy to say you shot it with a PH so I can bypass the thread.
My feelings safety wise is if I cannot handle a fish do to its size, conditions of the dive etc (think you can understand) then I personaly wont shoot it. However, to each his own.

Ya know i have dove on scuba and shot fish....but like you said, it just isnt the same. Im in it for the "zen." If those guys want to pump their chests and whatever ok ill give it to them. But to rail on a person because he has a different opinion is unacceptable. I can agree to disagree with anyone but those guys just dont get it sometimes. Anyways, Ill continue to post pics without the use of ph

i wonder if this guy used a ph :laughing3: :laughing3:

Hey ya'll (yes Im a Fla boy) Im 2fishin2 the guy who "stirred the pot" and all I was saying is IMO, it isn't sporting to blast fish with explosives. That's all, and then the attacks start fast and furious.
I wonder why people always have to attack like that? So what if I don't agree?
Oh yeah great fish in this post and for all that can see the fish in my SB avatar....no powerhead needed there either!
