Bitchin videos! Welcome aboard!

Wait some chick tried to release your bugs into the surf??!?!
Haha ya she called herself a animal protector! After I got the two helpless lobsters back she started to cry and threatened to report me and call the police for animal cruelty. Haha I may have told her she would be hotter with two black eyes at that point as I put my bugs in the ice chest! They were young experimenting liberals ready to stand the next save the seals at the children pool just didn't know it yet!
For the record myself or my friend would never abuse or assault a female although we found such a piece of shit later on at Dargens on Main St. I had A front row ticket to three stools getting broken over the guys head and I took his two shots he never got around to drinking and didn't feel bad!

Nice Work Wes! Keep it up.

Enjoyed the conditions down here over Ventura!
-
27OCT @1830 same spot same everything. Red tide is in full effect up here in Ventura but so are the legals to be had at. Had to work a lot hard this night to get the first one in the bag. Broke my Beuchat fin in a cave with some surge which made for a good workout swimming back with a limit on the belt. My partner ended up 3 also for a good start to a night out on Maine St.
Beware of drunk loose morale daughters who think animals have deeper feelings than us they will try and save your rightfully yours legal lobster from a terrible death. The 1st photo was taken by the one cool hot daughter then my friend thought he could get another kind of limit by letting them hold the lobsters and show off the catch which ended up in a foot chase towards the beach to catch my bug again!
Who wants to help me eat these?
4th limit in 5 consecutive days= New personal record

just for future posts... upgrading is illegal. Everyone does it, but just don't post about doing it. nice bugs.
Good to know! Thanks

26OCT @ 1930 decided to try out another set of rocks/reef that may catch less swell on the incoming tide but this time no baby sitting rookies. On this redemption dive the Viz was an outstanding 3ft with heavy surge and plenty of cormorants that were attacking me constantly from start to finish. First 3 dives= 3 solid legals about 15 minutes later I made a double legal bug grab and discovered you can force them to gay hug each other so you can take turns getting legal readings on both. Made another dive and came up with another 2 at about the same time some randoms in a dingy was passing close by asked them for a hand. So I threw the bug in there dingy passed the condition report while they measure my bugs for me and I get a bit of a break. Nice tankers thought I was crazy for kicking all the way out there by my self they kept asking me were my boat was and how long I've been dive and didn't believe me when I told them that I was done. They went on there way and I started heading back; just as a hooper and his wife started screaming at me to stay away from there traps which I was clearly 25 yards from. I laughed shined my light on them and told them No Habla English! Just kidding. Ended my dive conveniently early and made back to base to make a mess at my hotel.
That makes this weeks count 3 limits for 4 dives!

Welcome aboard! Looks like you put people on dream fish! Keep it up man!

They cant even win the children pool debate what makes them think they can advance to te major leagues? GREED!

Can't wait to make a repeat summer/spring 2012

3rd day lobster dive results goes as followed:
Viz: 2-3ft
Temp: cold
Tide: perfect high as shit
Swell/surge: Too strong for my noobs that were with me
Results: dissappointing to say the least because I was determined to wreck shop again on the north section of the reef but the downsides of diving with amateurs became all to real. I'm sure you can get the idea of the what they were going through. I didn't want to be responsible for any accidents so we shifted inside and found worse viz and smaller bugs.Kicked in was ready to shift to the back up spot but didnt find any support not the stuff I'm use too! I'll try and redeem myself tomorrow night at a spot that may harness a bit better conditions! My bad if I let you guys down or cost you beer money cause I was planning on a 4 limits for 4 days but...

King Neptune,
Thank you for another Lobster limit at the exact coordinates and rocks/cave I found my previous limit at a day earlier.
Next in command,
MattHa well I thought it was gonna be much tougher this time around especially since I picked up another nube for a second consecutive dive on this honey reef. But with about 6ft of viz and a 5 ft cold peaking high tide two amigos (1 was his first night dive and the other was on his 2nd night dive) and myself managed to bag 14 lobsters between us all and 3 rock crabs. I found my 7 legals fairly quickly and managed to guide my amigos hand too 4 legals and walked him through the fundamentals of the catch, measure and bag. The buddy who made it out on his 2nd night lobster dive snagged 3 all by himself with plenty of dropped and missed catches along the way. Overall it was another great dive saw a metric butt ton of massive rock crabs, a octopus feasting on a rock crab, a couple dozen cabs but nothing like the monster that got away the previous night.
Headed back out tonight to secure my 1st lobster Hat Trick. Should be similar conditions incoming tide cold no viz but legals legals legals!

Damn that sucks about the cab. ESP after you had him in hand.
Not to rub anything in, but is it not standard practice in CA to brain your fish right away? I do it as a matter of course cos of all the sharks we have so I just assumed it was normal routine. Stil made out with some damn fine eats.
Maybe it is standard practice to brain em but I usually don't put fish in bags I string em through the eyes and that's that. I've de-gilled and gutted fish before only to bleed em out and not make messes on boats. If everyone is doing that outta the fear of sharks alone lol then I feel sorry for those individuals. I am more concerned with other things than so possible what if!

Thanks I thought it was 4", I never see them that bug so I don't worry about it.
Yes 4" and 35 is the daily limit! Where are you diving where your only seeing shorts? I havent seen to many under 4". No joke the spot i have been diving the last two days has 25 5-7" crab per rock. You can just flashlight em into your bag or grab there back two legs and they wont get you. I was told by a fellow spearfisherman who use to catch them commercially that they would break the claws off at the 2nd knuckle and throw them back in cause they respawn there claws? Havent actually read anything about it though or how well that crab can survive with no claws?
