    I disagree... WE are in their environment and we should respect them. I keep up traveling around the world to dive with sharks, i totally adore them and if someday i will be hurt by one of them it will be my fault.
    It makes me more sad when i hear that a spearo got killed by a boat than a shark attack, and the first one is not so rare...

    You're welcome to visit Greece and I'll give you the best places to go!


    I dive in winter with a 7mm suit, the water is about 10-14 C so it's too cold for thinner suits
    But in summertime it's great cause I use the 3mm suit and just 3 kilos on me so I dive easier

    Take another pics from last summer in Mykonos. I was getting married and decided to spend my bachelorette with my best friends spearfishing, we laughed a lot and all the catches fed our guests!



    Spearfishing in Greece (in Mediterranean actually) is different, catches are in deeper water, they hide all the time, usually it's cold and we need really good breaths to dive and get a good one.
    That's why we have a really good national team, this year the got 3rd position in Portugal.

    I just love spearfishing, started on 2005 and keep going.
    Last years i also took part in every championship in Greece, i'm alsways the only woman and it's very funny for me, though not really good for some "macho" men. He he...


    Actually in the last championship where participated i took 4 of these small tunas, we call them "riki" in Greece. And yes it has hard to catch them cause they swim so fast you can't even blink your eyes!


    The picture i'm uploading is this catch. I was really proud that day!

    Hi everyone! I'm Katerina, i live in Greece and work in beautiful Mykonos island as a real estate agent.
    I love sports and spearfishing is my favourite hobby. I dive all year round, no matter weather conditions and i enjoy it a lot!
    I dive with apnea though i'm a certified divemaster, i never use tanks with gun.
    Gun... oh, did i mention about my speargun?
    It's pink, made by Bill Zonomesis (he's also my teacher in free dive) and now i have also another one in dark pink, which is my favourite for tunas, barracudas etc.


    Whenever you come to Greece let me know!
