This guy won a Sturgill Ladies shirt and was a good sport and put it on after some heckling from the crowd.

Thanks Don for the video. I have seen bags similar to the one Dan makes but I'm just nervous about it tangling in the kelp. Any words of wisdom on using these bags? Thanks.

    NHT Divers: NHT Belt Bags

I have this bag, it is a popular bag. The bag is made from a recreational fishing net, they say if it gets stuck you can tear it free. I'm not concerned with it tangle in the kelp but rather on the reef. If you go into caves or break walls it is a good idea to remove it from your body. Like dustan said you can wrap it up and stuff it under your weight belt until you get a lobster. Some people tie a knot in the net to make the bag smaller and use it for fish and other game.

The full moon made the hike super cool. The shore break, surge, and viz made things interesting. Wish we saw some lobster. We will get them next time.

Did anyone else get out besides me and dustan?

Thanks for the compliments guys. I wasn't sure how much power the gun would have but after test firing the gun, I know that Tyler will be killing fish with this gun for years. Like dustan said it was really fun to dive with.

Hey guys the wishbones are 4" long. They are tied with wishbone inserts that let you replace the wishbone cord, so with that they needed to be a just a bit longer than normal so you could use multiple bands on on a single shark fin. With the wishbone inserts the user can fine tune the wishbone length by either lengthening or shortening the wishbone cord without having to tie a new band.

If you like when you place an order for a gun we can make your wishbones any length you desire. :)

Thanks for the compliments we really enjoy building guns.

This gun had some serious power when we took it out for testing. Can't wait to see the fish it kills!

I am as stoked as cam. I don't think cam is going to give the gun back lol!

That was a fun gun build, can't wait to finish the other guns and my hybrid. The high viz yellow sturgill knife looks great stuck in that fishes brain.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Yes, hi viz yellow knife for best visability on the bottom. The key reason why the yellow handles are used on all of these knives. Products - Sturgill Spearfishing

Why do you think most dive lights are yellow? Why are cones, saftey vests, and school zone signs colored the way they are? For the hi visability.

I know I and many other people have lost knives after I dropped them and couldn't find them in the murky water. Sure is nice to be able to see your knife down there and be able to dispatch your fish after you retrieve your knife.

Yellow and white are 2 very high visability colors, I only use white or yellow floatlines because they can be seen by dive buddies so they know where I am at or by boaters hauling butt around dive spots. I have heard of spearos being drag around after a prop wrapped up their floatline.

Hey guys, like the title says I am here because I was referred to speardiver.

I started spearfishing a couple summers ago after I saw some camoed up spearos at little corona while I was working there one day. My brother in law dustyyoungblood and I went to the local scuba shop and picked up some pole spears.

After that I was addicted, I built my own gun and have partnered with my friends to create Sturgill Spearfishing. If you guys need anything let me know or if you have an idea no matter how wild you think it is we can make it happen
