Going diving tomorrow.
Who are you going with?
So and so.
Ok, as long as you don't go by yourself. Be careful.
Im trying to get down in Oct. what area are you in?
3300 just on my gear.
Im jumping in the water with $2150 worth of crap on me. Jesus...
In my experience, Bajas roads can be sketchy and narrow. Well, more narrow than I would like. Something about an 18 wheeler passing you 2ft from your drivers door scares the crap out of me every time. It can get white knuckly at times but thats what you get in baja. Its what keeps me going back. Driving that long way praying nothing bad happens and then when you get to your camp its such a relief you tell your buds "we made it! Look how awesome this place is!" It makes it all worth it. I love it. Its not for everyone though. I try to get my brother and some friends to go down and they say no way. Too many cartels, we'll get robbed etc.. Nevermind that Ive gone numerous times and never ran into any of that crap. They say they would rather fly in there. No way man, you gotta DRIVE there to really appreciate it. Its like going back in time. Such a humbling experience. Cant wait to go back...
I never got an email back from them.
My guide called CONAPESCA and they told him the regs changed to 10 but the site still shows 5. I emailed them to confirm but no answer.
Thanks Phil. I just messaged our guide and told him the limits for the future.
Well darn. The guide we chartered told us 10 Ughhh
It is a Wong hybrid. I know, overkill for the reef but we were told one gun per person on the boat so I had to choose between that and my 90cm. Better to be over gunned than under right? All divers were were under the limits. I can't wait to go back. Thanks for the comments.
Just got back last week with my wife and son. Met up with some friends down there. First day I arrived it was windy so it turned into a drinking day. Wind followed through the weekend with it letting up a little on Sunday. For other reasons we couldnt get out Sunday and set out Monday. Water was 64* and viz about 15-20. We did a great job on the pargo and cabrilla. Big triggers around too that we made into ceviche on the boat. I wish we could have got to dive more but thats the way it goes sometimes. Maybe Ill try to get back down there in Sept. Big cabrilla went 15 gutted and bled. She was full of eggs.
That's an awesome stringer :thumbsup2:
Thanks. I like this one.
