Hello all. just recently moved here and wanted to get an idea of what everyone uses on the island for weather and surf reports to try and figure the calmest areas. I am also putting my feelers out there for anyone looking for dive partners. I'm a competent freediver with 5 years of experience and like to try and get out to different areas of the island. i've only been out to a few so far, but i want to get out and do more. any info on the weather and surf sites would be much appreciated. Thanks

thanks for the heads up jaguigui. im staying in kailua, but i have time to go where the fish are. I'm not trying to find spots to steal, i'm looking for a guide/dive buddy. I'll blindfold myself if necessary, i just want to get some fish haha

Wow, no takers. does anyone at least know some beaches that have kayaks for rent and some decent sized fish. any information would be great.

Hey everyone. I'm coming to Honolulu for a few days starting the 1st, and would love a dive buddy and guide for some spots for decent fish (not looking for anything huge, but not tiny either). seeing its been almost 8 years since ive been there, my knowledge is extremely limited. any military members a plus due to my wife and i in the military. please let me know. thanks:thumbsup2:

To revise how this sounds, I'm not trying to out personal spots, just trying to understand general locations and how far out to go. (20 vice 40 miles etc.) Operating patterns and such. I'm am very ignorant when it comes to blue water spearing.

Hey guys and gals. Looking to see if anyone is willing to divulge some lat/long on sone good tuna spots on the NC coast. Just wanted to get an idea on how far out I'd have to take my boat and where to put out from and all that jazz. If anyone has any website reference or anything that would be awesome too. I'm kind of in the dark.

    Hey Guys,

I finally got some training behind my weight belt from PFI in Wilmington NC and am back to try and spearfish the local hampton roads area. besides the normal HRBT, CBBT, and the Ches light tower, are there any other places in the area that offer decent fishing, preferably ones that don't require a boat. i know thats a tall order, but i figure i'd ask.

    What's up guys,

My name is Corey and currently living in the Hampton Roads Area in Virginia. New to the Forum and to the sport but can't wait to learn more. right now I'm really interested in possibly making my own speargun and and learning about all the different rigs for the midatlantic area. currently, i do not have any means of getting out to the spots in hampton roads, so if any local folks need to offset the price of gas or something out to local spots, let me know. I'm itchin to go fishin.:thumbsup2:
