To keep your wetsuit and gear nice and dry so it doesn't get wet when you go spearing...
So when you put your drenched gear in, it won't wet averything around...
I dont know I think it's kind of silly....
    Thats why I don't go spearing when it's raining...:D

That should be a good name for the gun; THE PARGON CARBON ( ''pronounced par-gun''):D

Hey Lunker you should get the belt since you been naming the product line, first the fins now the gun, all you got left is the gear company......oh wait thats another thread.... ;)

Here's something that might help, next time one of you guys need to remove a glued blade that has been glued with a cyanoacrilate(CA) based glue such as crazy glue, go to a hobby shop that specializes in r/c and ask them for some CA debonder. It's a liquid that you spray on the glue joint making the glue brittle facilitating the removal. I have never used it on blades(for I don't have any carbon blades) but have used it a few times on carbon fiber parts from r/c racing airplanes and works pretty good. Hope this helps.

    You should write a book.

I agree with you Dan, the simpler the better. I don,t like snokels with a lot of sh!t on them and hate those with them valves and stuff on top. BTW I been using the same snorkel since 1989 and only replaced the mouthpiece once!

Do you know that I actually quit smoking because I wanted to get back into spearing? So even if I never get to hold my breath for a long time or dive real deep I feel that I'm ahead just for having stopped smoking. I had a real bad habit and spearfishing motivated me to stop. QUE BIEN ME SIENTO!:thumbsup2:

:laughing3:I remembered an incident a long time ago, two friends of mine and myself were spearfishing from a boat in shallow water when we got to a spot with a lot of octopus so we put the guns back in the boat and started to go after the octopi with some small barbless gaffs we had just for that. Only one of the guys kept his gun(an old champion arbalete) because he didn't know how to catch octopus. So after a while we got to a little clearing in the rocks with a spot of sand in the bottom an the guy with the gun signaled us over so we could see the big stingray buried in the sand and right before I could stop him he decided to shoot it. That ray was a monster over 250+ pounds. Then all hell broke loose. The shot was a very bad one and in the blink of an eye took my friend with it. I tried to grab him but only got a hold of his fin. I started to swim after him while the other guy went for the boat. The boat caught up to me and we went after the guy with the ray. About 1/4 of a mile later we caught up with my friend and the ray luckily still in shallow water. I jumped in the water and put an end to it with a ppd. I asked my friend why he never let go of the gun and he said his uncle(who let him borrow the gun) told him that he would kill him if he'd loose the gun so he would rather die attached to it.:laughing3: Crazy man.....

Welcome to the forum! There's a bunch of great guys that spearfish around your area. Check the Florida section.:)

I would go with the rib. If something were to happen(like a bad motor, notorious on jet skis) I'd rather be adrift on rib than on a ski and believe me the ski will eventually flip.

Welcome to the forum, feel free to ask whatever you need to know. There are a lot of experienced spearos here, very good people.:)
