I put in 4 hours yesterday in a deep kelp bed for nothing as well. I think i saw one big silver flash and my buddy saw he may have seen the a short but couldnt get close enough to verify. The kelp was so thick in areas that under it you almost needed a flash light. Decent vis and a beautiful day in SB.

Thats what i was thinking. I just thought i would ask. I have never messed with clams but im thinking of giving it a shot.

I let them soak in water for 3 days before they were clean for the small ones
Are you soaking them in fresh water?

Hello all,
My name is Nathan and i live in Orcutt CA. I dive all over CA. I make trips up north for abs when i can. I have been diving since i was very young and have with in the last few years started to take it more seriously. I mainly dive in the Santa Barbara area and the pismo, shell, avila area. I love lobster diving probably most of all. I also love hunting fish in the thick kelp. I also do a lot of land hunting. I'm a chef for a catering company locally and really enjoy using my culinary skills to dress up wild game and fish. If you can grill it i will kill it! I look forward to contributing reports and insight as well as learning from the rest of you.
