You can put the regular Riffe shafts in a euro-X I think. On the regular euros you can only use euro styled shafts.
My friend has a 120 euro and overall it looks pretty solid.

Had another last night. I dreamed about shooting dogtooth tuna in Government Cut, I then got run over by The Freedom of the Seas... I think the Dogtooth can be explained by me watching HSD 2 before sleep but I can't venture to guess where the Government Cut part came from.
Also, I googled dream control to be able to explain what I was talking about. Turns out, it's a phenomena known as lucid dreaming, where you can understand that you are in a dream and therefore, can control what you do. After realization, you can control actions, and scenery. For me, when it happens, I can control WHATEVER I want. However, when I try too hard, I wake up. I don't know how to further explain myself but it's an amazing experience.
Generally speaking, I would say that you dream about what you love. So if you love spearfishing, you would be inclined to dream about it.

I have at least one per week... The most recent one was somehow I was on a golfcourse... then i jumped in a dirty lake but the water was crystal clear and my Wong appeared in my hands. I then shot a white sea bass ..
Before that i was diving in a marina except the water was clear and i could hold my breath forever. I ended up shooting a big hog fish over mahi mahi, marlin, yellowtail (kingfish), and other random fish swimming around.
I've had many dreams where i end up spearing off the dock behind my house but the water is gin clear (when you usually cant see then end of your gun) and there are huge fish everywhere.. Ive also dreamed that the whole bay had coral reefs and was teeming with fish.
I could go on and on. Unfortunately, my dream stories aren't very well composed or organized.
While we are on the subject of dreams.... Does any one find that they can control what they do in dreams?

I liked it. I thought it was well made, and they didn't make freediving out to be a death wish or some sort of activity that only crazy people do. I felt like they portrayed information in a very straight forward manner, but there was some expected exaggeration from the journalist/news report or whatever it was. I really like that it didn't suggest that freedivers are suicidal mad men with death wishes.
While it had it's flaws/mistakes I think it was pretty interesting and accurate.

Yeah I know. It is true about the under ballasting. The first time I shot a magnum hybrid with 3 5/8th bands and a 5/16th shaft the gun hit me in the face and tore my mask off. A lot of people also complain about Riffes being over powered out of the box.. Maybe you're used to shooting the bigger Riffe guns and are compensating for the potential shaft drop. I don't really know.. But it sounds like the best thing to do would be to contact the man who built the gun.

How are you going to say your Riffe shoots straight with a bent shaft? lol...
You should call Daryl, then after you've given him a chance you can say how crappy the gun is.

It's a sweet gun... Enclosed track available and they come with mori shafts. Last time I went to scubas world they had both the enclosed track reef pro and the "regular" reef model and they are unbelievably good looking. I haven't shot one but they look like a better Riffe euro, like you said.
    I want one....

I'm not sure.. it's a little over a year old and used only once.. It has absolutely no rust though. I also just found a 150cm Rabitech 7mm shaft that I could let go as well.. It has 2 notches but I only use dyneema wishbones and it hasn't torn them up.

Damn, sucks about the blackout but at least you experienced what it's like. It's scary shit, I've recovered 2 black out victims but have yet to have one myself. After taking a FIT course I've become so paranoid and I always yell at my dive buddies about safety. If you all have the DVD "Oceans in Action 2", there's a special feature with Kirk Krack lecturing about freediving safety that I recommend watching.
If you need pics of the Rabitech let me know.

Thanks. The whole piling was covered top to bottom, with at least 70 lobsters. It was a little crazy diving there during mini season and we decided to cut losses after catching 10 ish. I still haven't made it back out there to check on them, but I'm sure they'll still be there for the taking.
