I was told that open muzzles aren't as accurate as closed muzzles, is this true?

I have 2 questions:

1) What is a good quality gun that can be used for scuba and freediving? I am trying to avoid buying 2 guns.

2) What is better, open or closed muzzle and why?

Hello, I am Shawn and a new member to the site. I am a novice spearfisherman and look forward to learning more about the sport. I have spearfished a few times on scuba and am looking to get into freediving. So I might be asking what experienced freedivers might consider "stupid questions". But I am here to learn. A little about myself: I was born and raised in ft. myers, fl, but now reside in north ga. I fish and dive the St. george Island and Mexico Beach Fl areas. I am planning to move to that area this coming spring and pursue my captains license. I currently own a real estate appraisal company and plan to relocate it as well. I also love to bow hunt, which to me is the land equivalent to spearfishing. Thanks and I look forward to learning from you all.
