Meade street area,, closer to peir.
first reef got one hog.. area seemed pretty void so went out to second reef, took only about 5 minutes the ocean wass so flat. also not much goin on so went to outter edge of second over sand and got a nice spani mack. jacks were out but on the wrong side of small. Viz was actually pretty good especially on the second reef. zero cloud cover but swift current

i think how you hold the gun makes a big impact on how the fish perceives you.. i usually swim with my hand around the middle of the barrel and keep the gun tucked flush with my body, until its time to shoot,, and even then try to be smooth and natural about pulling the gun into position,,, it seems as though somthing about having the gun extended and aimed outward spooks the fish... but besides that generality,, mackeral know when a gun is unloaded,, and take that time to circle and taunt you while loading and dissapear as soon as your ready.

today at meade,, worked first reef south for a while. didnt get out till noon and came back in around 3 (remembered why i usually get up a llot earlier). vis had potenital but a lot of thick particulate.
not many fish out and about

Does anyone know what an elios brand wetsuit would cost roughly? Im having trouble figuring out where and what suit to buy now that the winters coming becasue im tall and skinny, and most taller suits are wide as hell and visce versa. it seems like elios custom tailors. thanks all and any suggestions experiences etc are appreciated... also is a 5 mill over doing it? maybe a 3 mill with vest? im a sincere hater of the cold

hau wheres your report?? after all u did get that decent mutton :thumbsup1:
Me and hau barracuda reef out at 8 casue i made us late
ocean was a lake when we got in and bout the same when we got out around 1230 maybe later.
Big mackerals but neither of us managed one. I had one on (biggest ive ever seen) but it came off the spear casue i only had one band pulled and it was a distance shot.
Only fish from barracuda reef for me was a schoolmaster but scored a decent hog on the way in.
    Hau landed a nice mutton.
All around a beautiful day weather and water wise.

i jsut got the predator pro 120 open muzzle two bands. (used it about 5 times now) It came with whatever band length is standard.
Its an all around good gun in my opinion, well built, comfortable handle, nice design, decent muzzle.
130 might be a little big, but i dont know your conditions. I think the 120s perfect for me, (110 might even been better).. its not to big for hog snappers and the like,, and its plenty big for mackeral and other muscley fish with both bands pulled. if your going with anything over a 100 id say dont do the 20mm band unless ur a beast. good luck and pay the extra 20 bucks or whatever for the blue camo its pretty sick lookin,, not that it will catch u any extra fish. when i went to order i tryed to order the iconic (the other model) and they said theyd be out of the barrels for those until like november so that might help ur decision

on the mako the line release is reset when the shafts end engages the trigger mech. Which for me is fine becasue id cant see any situation where i would want to wrap the line up before the sppears locked in. Its positioned same as rob allen which would be a bummer if a reel was in the picture

Yeah, thinking about it you are probably right. The screw set up on the CF gun does look alot more convenient. Do they not make auto line releases that can be installed on an integrated set up?

On the wooden gun you said you think lining up the line and groove would be a hastle? Dont you think just running your hand along the line when its pressed against that side of the stock would make it find the groove pretty easily?

yeah today dania beach, a couple hogs, vis was pretty good hau will have report later,, id say at least 30-35 feet viz. at 2nd reef. cesar a guy we were with shot a large grouper that holed up on him. seas were calm and vis was good.. kinda cloudy though
