Hey look at that. I had seen internet stuff suggesting that happened but assumed they meant something comparable, not the same mold. Awesome

Awesome mosheche, been missing your videos lately. Always great diving, chill music and no extra nonsense

I really like the Ocean Kayak Trident 13 because it has a very useful hatch in front of the seat. But they're still pretty expensive on CL ($700+) Treebilly3, now that I look at it, the Prowler and the Trident look very similar...
My dive buddy used that kayak. It is very nice but I find it a bit wide. For larger body types it is probably ideal

350-400 lbs it says but most reviews online don't recommend it for anyone over 220 lbs (I guess as it is kind of narrow but that is part of what makes it paddle so well)
Ocean kayak no longer makes the scupper pro but they are not rare on craigslist

What Kayak brands do most of you guys use? I love my Royak but for some reason I feel like she is getting heavier (I must be getting weaker). How much do your yaks weigh? Thanks.
*Don't mean to thread jack.
Scupper pro - 55lbs
Used a Hobie (thanks Hau) for a while that was an amazing kayak but very heavy
Used an aquaterra prism (thanks lunkerbuster) for around a year as well and it is probably my favorite : weighs a little more than scupper but a lot less than Hobie -
Way to go ,,, that's an awesome kayak too. Don't think I'd seen one before

I like my Denton but have not used a teak sea. I have only seen one once in person I think. That said I've only heard good things about them. Have you used the search function on this and other forums to search for the teak sea gun in threads. Speardiver brand also offers a a euro style wood gun that has a similar layout and might be able to ship to Tahiti. Speardiver Teak Euro Speargun
Good luck

Thank you for explaining, pete.

Nice fish and cool vids.

When in your shoes I bought a mako predator. I used it for a short time before it literally snapped at the handle when I pulled the trigger. After that I got a speardiver gun from Dan with much less disastrous results lol. I am not from Cali but after reading a lot of stuff from Cali guys it's seems they all agree that for Southern California a 90cm is the go to gun size. If you do enough snooping you'll see fish of every caliber have been taken there with a 90cm pipegun.
Good luck and welcome -
I literally never get skunked. Every day is a trophy fish day.
Good luck with the thread :thumbsup5:

Nice work, that current looks tough. Are you in a fjord?

I thought it was a self help/yoga/ free diving forum??
Anyways sub current you may have had your views of spearfishing twisted by the scuba spearfishing and upcoming generations spearfishing mentality that would put a bad taste in anyone's mouth. Bottom line is if you are willing to kill lion fish u shouldnt draw any lines. That moral ethical line makes no sense.
And welcome
