I'm 68 and managed to avoid all those tattoo shops while in the Marine Corps. At our age I think I would opt out for a testosterone shot instead ( cheaper and less painful but with same effect ). I have to admit it looks very macho, but then again I've been getting good results wearing my new 1.5 Speardiver wet suit! Had one old lady on the beach ask if she could touch it.

Loaded question. What are you really fishing for on a competitors site? Sympathy? Everyone will have occasional problems with suppliers and out of stock merchandise. To ask for an opinion of others with out knowing all the details sets people up for uninformed solicitation of opinion. If you are shopping for bands why are not buying from the site you seeking an opinion from? I think I know , but would interested in your opinion!

Adventure and most importantly for me is the aesthetic value. The ability to appreciate the aesthetic value of creation is unique to humans only, that is why we experience the feeling of ' awesome '. Glory is not important to me because I am already "a legend in my own mind"!

May is getting closer, a 90 cm gun and a strong light (at least 300 lumins), fish bag( make it float, swim noodles work good) 30-40 ft poly line , lobster snare, long sleeve rash guard, gloves, wieght belt & knife. Long free dive fins may get in your way working reef walls and caves. You can shore dive all over the island. If you need suggestions or help go to Tamarindo Estates and call on the courtesy phone located in the taxi stand and ask "how you can get fresh fish"-------they will tell you how to contact me.

Great video (as usual) , appreciate the cooking suggestion , I gave up on eating crevelle but you encouraged me to try again. It's a great fighting fish , I get mine in 3 to 4 feet of water hugging thr coral in sardine schools, more of an ambush. I envy your depth ability and I see we have something in common this year---- water visibility seems to be slow in clearing up this year, water temps are also cooler hear in Culebra.

I'm not an advocate of boat registration( I'm old enough to have owned motor boats w/o numbers) but I have learned the hard way that a stolen registered craft is easier for the police to recover than a non registered craft.

Nucanoe Frontier: This kayak interests me because you can mount a 2.5 hp outboard on the back, has slide rails for seating and accessories also it's available on the main island.
Does anyone have experience with this kayak?

For me I prefer the cressi snorkel because the mouth piece is thin and gives me a better mask seal on my upper lip.
When your older and your skin isn't as elastic not to mention a few wrinkles any advantage sealing the mask is more important to me that purging water out of my snorkel. My favorite keeper is a strip of old wetsuit with a hole in each end. I did find that cleaning a purge dia frame is easily done in the water by popping it out and sticking it in your mouth and rubbing it off with your tongue and pushing it back in place.

Marco's advice is the correct way to go, but I had to see for myself what was causing the problem. The trigger housing was slightly bent causing the sear to drag the side of the housing, the more load on the shaft the greater the drag causing stronger trigger pull. Straightened housing out and it's all good now. Fishing kind of slow but did see a few ocean triggerfish on deep end of reef ! I'll see how they like this longer gun.

I have to agree with Dan about the handle. After first use I took it to the grinder and reshaped it starting with the edges.
Also lost the butt pad the first day. My biggest complaint is the trigger pull, as soon as I load up the bands the pull is so hard I pull the the muzzle down and to the right. I haven't read anyone else having this problem so I guess I'll pull the trigger assembly check it and try to polish it. Always open to suggestions.

Hola, just joined this site. I live on the island of Culebra off west shore of Puerto Rico and spend several days a week spearfishing, wearing out equipment, getting torn up in fire coral, missing a lot of fish I should have hit, breaking off a few lobster antenna, loosing gear in breaking surf, and just having a great time. Just turned 67 have a little trouble spotting pulpo with these old eyes-- so I take a lot of youngsters with me. I don't know if the benefit of their spotting an occasional octopus is worth all the bent shafts and dull points they produce on my equipment! But we creat a lot of great memories and good times.
Dad bought me my 1st gun (spring loaded) at 15 and it's been a passion ever since.
