Guys, thanks for the input.
Love the analogy of sports car with a deflated tire...
I read this scuba fins review of the Oceanic Viper open heels. Wondering why Oceanic would back split fins, other than for novelty value??
Thanks

Hi
I am looking to invest in my first pair of diving fins (after having rented for a while). It's time to face the fact that I will be better off in the long run with my own gear.
I have seen a few pairs of fins for sale that offer split fins, the benefit apparently being that you need to put less effort in to propel yourself. They also offer better manoeuvrability.
Obviously, that's two key features right there, but I would just like to see what some of the more experienced divers here think of split diving fins.
Thanks
Hi Guys,
I got bitten by the spearfishing bug when on holiday in Australia.
Been lurking here for a while, but finally decided that it's time to come out of my shell, contribute and ask some questions of the pros on the board.
Thanks
