Thanks guys! I ran an errand a minute ago and saw a piece of wood and realized I should have mentioned working on spearguns. My buddy and I are trying to make one out of brazilian tiger wood.

Hello everybody! I'm Stony Burk (real name, I know), a firemedic and public safety diver from Orange Beach, AL. My spearfishing background is mainly on scuba but my dive buddies and I are putting our scuba gear to the side in order to except the challenge to start shooting fish while holding our breath! Most of my diving experience is with the local dive shop diving on wrecks. Not a lot of natural bottom around here. We are doing our best to eliminate the lionfish over here but they are mostly around 100' and 20 miles out for us.
