Is the two types or carbon that you are using expensive?
-
I know that was a joke, but let me get take notes and get a little more prepared and I'm sure I'll have a few questions.
-
I vote that he should sell them or put together a tutorial that would show us challenged folks how to make them.

Thanks, do you think making the line release screw in over the muzzle slots it would make it stronger than the current setup. Not being critical justs thinking out loud. Beautiful work!
-
Griswold,
How much do you think a 60" version would weigh? Do you think it would lose a pound maybe?

Great video!

Coral trout, grouper, black spot tusk fish, emporer, GT's, dogtooth tuna, goatfish

I got the mediums and really like them, but I have only tried Beuchat Carbon fins to rate them against. I have also tried Omer Pegaso's. I prefer the Dive R's over both of them.
-
From all reports they should be some awesome fins! Do you like your Dive R's?
-
No problem, I just talked with Pierre the maker and he said it is 24. So its a good thing I'm not an engineer!
-
I had a freedivers speargun and it was nice, a little heavy but great for the price! I wouldl ike to try an Orca it utilizes the Cressi handle/trigger.
-
John,
It wasn't scientific but I just put a protractor up to your picture and the angle is 20 degrees, so Dive R's are probably 25.
-
Okinawa, Japan let me know if you are headed this way.
-
John,
Thanks for posting!
-
Thanks I appreciate it! Those are some pricey blades.

Which carbon fins have the steepest angle to them?
I have heard great things about the Carbontek's but can't find any info about them, the same goes for dbsub.
All input is welcome.

Alan, I'm not crazy about the RA open muzzle as far as the line routing goes. The Aimrite muzzle is a very nice muzzle for $40 containing all the features of a good wood gun. We will soon be coming out with our own modified version of it which will sell for less.
I didn't like the routing of the line on the RA open muzzle either but this can be fixed by putting a groove in the forward left or right tab so when you load the bands and they get smaller the line becomes loose. Just notch a tab in the front of the muzzle and wrap the line through there it works really nice, I used a dremel but even a pocket knife would do.

Now - Omer Alien = great all around mask!
AQA Mantis LV = great fit, good vision, a little on the bulky side
Cressi Big Eyes - great mask for the priceI would love to try the Technisub and I believe that Beuchat calls it the micromask, but I would not trim my eyebrows over it.
