This past Wednesday Jim and I went out in Hollywood around 7 am for a beach dive. Our plan was to head out and check out some wrecks but when we started swimming out the viz wasn't so great so we just decided to drift dive in shallower water (25-30ft). We weren't seeing a lot of fish at first, Jim managed to get a good sized Mac and I got a little Hog. Some time went by after that with nothing to show for it and I thought we were gonna have to head home with just those two. But after that sense of disappointment, the spearfishing gods decided to show up. The water began to clear up really nice and the fish began flying onto our raft! I shot my biggest Hog to date as well as the biggest Mangrove I've ever seen! Our total take home was 3 Hogs, 3 mangroves (Including the monster) and a Mackerel. So overall it turned out to be a really nice day on the water. Nothing like having a fridge full of fish :thumbsup2:

My name is Nick, I'm James' (liquid) dive buddy and good friend. I'm located in Fort Lauderdale and I primarily dive out of Dania and Hollywood. I'm relatively new to spearfishing (began approximately 6 months ago) and have grown to absolutely love the sport. I've also been on the forum many times but usually rely on Jim to post our dives or questions. But I figured it was about time to hop on here and join the family! So here I am. Can't wait to be a part of this community.
