Greetings everyone,
Im new to the board and new to spearfishing as well. My name is Brandon Earhart, I live in the Sacramento area and I guess the area I dive would be on the Northern California Coast primarily or anyplace I can afford to go on vacation. I'm a firefighter in the SF Bay Area. Haven't done a whole lot of diving, basically just getting my feet wet at this point. I've got a few friends that have kind of inspired me to dive into this world and try my hand at spearfishing and some friends that were ab divers in the past and are wanting to get back into the mix. Unfortunately it's been a challenge to hook up with anyone.
I would really appreciate anybody that has any advice and especially anyone in NorCal that would be willing to let me tag along and see how they do things. From what I've picked up so far there are a few different schools of thought on how to rig your gear and I don't really know much of anything.
