thanks for the reply. the vis isn't that great. usually murky and ill be hunting around jetty rocks, so I figured a 75cm would be better for closer shots. the species ill be hunting for are ling cod, rockfish, surf perch etc.. nothing to big. I mean id rather not spend more than 200 in all honesty. I figured I could start with a less expensive gun just to learn on and as I get better save up to buy a more expensive higher quality gun.

hi I am brand new to spearfishing and I am in the process of find a good reliable accurate spear gun that wont break the bank. my budget is about 150$. I was looking at either the omer cayman sport 75, or the seac bolt 75. any advice for the two or if you guys would recommend a different gun that would be awesome. I am excited to start spearing and would like a nice reliable starter gun. thanks for the input!

hi my name is killian im 24, I am brand new to spear fishing. I'm a avid rod and reel fisherman both in fresh and saltwater and I am very enthusiastic about learning the sport of spearfishing. I have a buddy in new jersey that actually showed me a couple videos he posted of him underwater fishing and I couldn't get enough of it. I have been glued to the computer screen watching video after video of people spearfishing and it looks just plain fun as hell. I am no newbie of swimming in the ocean as I have surfed since middle school. I am excited to join this board and learning as much as possible about spear fishing. I know I will have lots of questions and I am sure there are many people here that are full of knowledge and experience that can help me answer those questions as well give me great advice on becoming a safe and efficient spear fisherman. I look forward to hopefully being able to meet and fish with some of you and learn from you. thanks
