David, how would one purchase the full Inhale CD?
Thanks,
Sergio
Or use stainless cable instead of nylon strap.
You could always drill a hole thru the entire length, insert a plastic tube, then run a new nylon strap thru the whole thing. Tie knots at each end with washers in between the knots and buoy.
I thought the beauty of those floats is that the nylon strap is continuous thru the entire length of the float so that all the strain is on the strap itself. By cross drilling and threading a rope, the strain is transferred to the foam and polyethylene shell. That rope will saw thru the foam in a short amount of time.
A possibly better solution would be to cut the float back and carefully expose more of the strap, then sew an extension nylon strap for the tuna clip. The float would need to be reshaped into a torpedo after cutting and the exposed foam would need to be protected with uv stable epoxy or urethane.
That presumes that the strap is continuous thru the length of the float...
Scary!
What's the boat manufacturer? I like the looks of that hull.
I got this wahoo in Tampa Bay April 1st 2015.:D
Everyone knows that was taken near Clearwater. Nice try misdirecting.
I've got a wmv video but it's nondescript. All it shows is s diver shooting a wahoo but no background to indicate that it's near shore or even in Dania. You'll just have to take my word for it.
BTW, it was shot in mid September 2011 so if you're going to find wahoo near shore, late summer/early fall seems to be the time.
100%. My friend George shot one on second reef off Dania and got it on video. Will see if I can find that video.
I believe it. Have seen wahoo 100 yards off shore in Boynton Beach so it'd be nothing for them to cruise inside on the clean water flood tide.
Well there goes that theory...
So.. I was diving out of Miami Saturday and there was a somewhat unusual southward current
Dan, How was the vis? Some of the clearest water I've dove in SE FL was with southerly currents. Someone explained that it was likely a swirl / eddy current off the gulf stream. What do you think?
Someone said that three others lost their lives free diving last week.
Do you know or can you find out who the other divers are?
Hurts too much to imagine what that father is going thru...condolences to the entire family.
I once bounced/skived a shaft of a +40 lb cubera's head, diving off Big Pine, and that was nearly a point blank shot. Gun was a rob allen 120 single 20mm band, and the shaft tip was slightly blunted too. You can bet my shaft tips are super sharp now.
Welcome and you're sure to like this site and it's no BS attitude.
It's so interesting to read about other country's spearfishing customs. Welcome and looking forward to reading about your underwater adventures.

As already stated, depth adds risk but you can easily black out from shallow dives. I blacked out ascending from a 45' dive, and if not for my dive buddy and girlfriend I'd be gone. Be safe out there and if at all possible, have a good spotter.
Mares Nemo here. It's been a nice dive watch for the past 6 or so years but I almost lost it last week when the spring pin in the wrist band failed. I wish the wrist band connection was more robust but the display and dive functions are great.
