True... Between overfishing and pollution and all the other issues... Sometimes I feel I would stop fishing just to help ease the pressure! But i just try to help educate now, knowing that in the perfect world we would protect our own resources. Someday.

Yea, but I find regionally that only the 12 mile or so territorial water limit is what people tend to care about... Well unless it is dealing with oil. Seen a venezualan longliner within sight of here also, coast guard didn't do anything about it

Once they stay outside of 12 miles it's not an issue. Grenada... Man, reindeer shoals is near the top of the list of places I wish I could dive!

Dude, where are u from?? I've seen Martinique boats fishing our deep bars 30 - 40 miles north of here, and been told they make it hard for the st Lucia fishermen sometimes

Well we have had good offshore action almost all year, tons of sargassum beds around, some over an acre in size... Dolphin madness!

Couple more questions.. C90 vs c100, according to the ol measuring tape, the c90 is similar in size to the garas, but for long surface swim sessions, coupled with multiple dives to 60+ feet, and also muscling fish around sometimes, what would be the better blade? I can be in the water up to 8 hours some days. It's not unusual for us to park 2 trucks a couple miles apart and then head out to to the dropoff and work the entire distance

Inshore not that great unless your on the east coast, or up north... But we make it work! Just needs a lot of patience.

Are the omer stingray footpockets a good match for the speardiver blades? I don't exactly live in a place where I'm able to try a wide variety of gear, most of what I buy I order based on reviews, discussions or trying on something for a few minutes that belongs to someone else..

My only personal experience with carbon fins is the look on a friends face when he told me how his c4's snapped, the speardiver fins look like they are more built for what we do. That's exactly what I'm looking for in a fin! Not something I've got to treat like a baby

Well I got as far as reading your post on pantoja's fins... He sounds like he is harder on his gear than I am!!!

And for a little background on my diving, I bought a pair of cressi gara 3000 hf's when they first came out, and they have lasted until now, I regularly hunt in depths up to 60 feet, but will be looking to gradually increase that to the 85-90 foot range to take advantage of some deeper reefs in the next year or so. I'm a big guy (6'5, 260 lbs)

It's coming time for me to leave behind plastic fins, but I'm not sure carbon is the best choice for me so I have been doing a lot of thinking about fiberglass, the deep apnea s glass intrigues me, and I'm very tempted to buy, as I havnt seen any negative reviews on them anywhere, but at the same time I havnt seen many reviews in general. With that being said, does anyone on the board have personal experience with them?
