R.I.P Bev Morgan...
Heard about his passing while out for a surf this morning.

If the crux is the poor local conditions then I would teach myself to comfortably dive dirtier water and not focus on depth and duration. It could open up more areas to hunt and increase your overall water time.

Move to California. You can shoot 70lb fish in 15ft of water.

Latex tubing is not the best material to apply mathematical equations too. Its stretch resistance is inconsistent when fresh and degrades at varying rates over time. I just cut them a little long to start and trim back as the material relaxes. Making a target and doing some testing in the water will help you find the sweet spot where you get both power and accuracy.

Harness or vest for a 3mm suit? I use them with a 5 or 7mm where you get significant weight off your lower back.

ABS comes in different formulations for various uses.

I understand the idea of aerated water. But if it happens together with a wave how do you know what's happening is not backwash from the wave?
Good question. I'll video the spot next time I pull some scallops. Its kind of a mellower version of the "diver taken in undertow" video above except I pop up with some dinner plates.

The amount of calories you expend loading the bands should be an indication of the potential energy stored in the elongated band. Longer pull length means more effort to load.

Looking at the pic its hard to believe they are a distant relative of the little puffer fish.

The back ground water drops are cool.

A spearo got bit on the leg in the Monterey area over the weekend. Saw the father on the news this morning. I think I've met these guys on the Redondo Breakwall a few years back??? Anyhow, best wishes to the diver for a speedy recovery.
