Looks kinda effeminate to me. :confused2::rolleye2:
They have successfully emasculated the all powerful ruler of the sea.
Cool stuff. What is a recovery depth?
Is the filter intended to add more of a red tint to underwater video?... Since red is the colour of the spectrum with the quickest reduction at depth
Sign me the ~`~`~`~` Up!!! That looks awesome. How long did you stay for?
I dove on a tank once about 10 years ago on a family vacation in Tobago. It was my first experience to the underwater world and it was an absolutely beautiful and liberating experience. Years later I get the same feeling free diving, the weightlessness, the sights, the sounds all without the bulky gear we had to wear while waddling to the water's edge.
I always feel like the challenge would be removed, if you could stay under longer. Free diving spearfishing feels like primitive hunting. The greatest advantages a human has over a fish in the end is intelligence and most of the time the fish still gets one over you, by knowing to stay the hell away from that strange creature descending from the sky.
That is what I think is the difference between scuba and breath hold diving. The perception of a challenge, that some men gravitate too while others shun or neglect. Whether or not the challenge/difference between the two exist is irrelevant.
Khalel I think the only way you can find the answer to that question is to try it on your own. My prediction is that you while not like, because looking at your pictures you are obviously someone who has meet many challenges under the sea on a single breath.
BTW I really want to come back home and go fishing . Can I tag along with you when I make it back? I was thinking of swimming out of Macaripe, Paria or Toco.
Also my disclaimer on my reply is I have had several scotch and ginger ales.
Rob Allen 120 with open muzzle and reel.. Ideal for most south florida situations IMO
:thumbsup2:
if anyone wants to go there let me know.
Is it difficult for non-Cuban citizens to travel there?
Shit I wanna go.
Details? We can all learn from someone's personal experience.
wishIhadgills you did good the other day in Miami, nice form and good recovery breaths, little samba but you pulled through, nice 100ft dive.
Nice report and photo's Kyle, it seems like you were there during the rainy season and that is why the water was so murky, in the dry season Nica is very nice for diving, starts around December to clean up since the rain has stopped and rivers dry up.
Yeah we were advised that the next time we should plan to come during January for the best viz.
You have anymore info on their hunting techniques?
Next trip is to Panama hopefully. We are gonna try out those techniques this weekend hopefully.... will report back on them after some experimenting.
Great write-up. Thanks for sharing. Looks like a great time. How cold was the water?
Water was really warm I dove bare back on the second day which was a mistake cause I got a massive sunburn
