IMO the blackteams are to most durable plastic blades out there( although I'll always love my original cressi gara 2000). You can abuse them on the rocks and they'll still love you day after day. I know that Picasso introduced their new plastic blades that are going to replace the blackteams and I think that the freediveshop is sold out of the old blackteams. If you find a pair now you should pick them up. I'm sure the lifetime warranty still stands but I assume they will just replace them with the new blade. I remember vanessa said the owner in europe named them "Black Power" fins but the english translation isnt politically correct. haha:laughing4: so they changed it. Goodluck

    4. "Boat tailing" the end of the spear shaft, again to make it more hydrodynamic

Hey Tinman could you please explain this concept. I'm not sure what you mean.

Also I believe another factor that could play a role is the slip-tip cable. If its kinked and twisted it could affect the speed and accuracy.:confused2:

Don, when was the last time you visited SQ? You must remember Kelly Catian. He's doing well and still shoots some quality fish every so often. I grew up with his sons and he's shared many stories about the Neptune's diving down there years ago. I know a few still do. If you remember driving towards the Old Mill on the main road, and looking to the right you'll see Campo de Lorenzo up a ways. My dad has had a place there for over 22 years. I love it down there because its close enough to drive down for a weekend, yet far enough to get the real baja feel and enjoy killer fishing. And yes Roca Ben produced some quality fish this season!

    Hey guys,
Most of you probably know me from the "other" forum, but if not heres my intro. I grew up between Massachusetts and California. Fishing, surfing, and diving all my life. I began spearfishing in Laguna Beach CA and Baja Mex. I spent most of my summers in San Quintin Baja where my father has a house and boat. I'm currently a senior at the California Maritime Academy where I am studying to become a Merchant Marine. I'm graduating this spring with a 3rd Mate unlimited license and plan on working on commercial ships. So far I've traveled and speared in Baja, Mainland Mex, Hawaii, Guam, Panama, Ecuador, Vietnam, and some other places I've probably forgot. Look forward to learning and contributing on the board with less of the BS
