I'm going to be visiting Okinawa, Japan for one week from the 2nd of jan to the 9th of feb and am dieing for some spearing after half a winter in Scotland.
I'm taking a pole spear, would rather have my gun but not too clear on how this would sit with immigration etc - I just need the low down?
It's a short trip, but I love my spearing and would like to make the most out of it. Super interested to see the environment down there!
If anyone stays in the Okinawa aria or knows about the situ down that way and can give some advice, that would be ace.

I Live in Scotland and spear there a bit but most of my spearing is done in Indonesia.
I'm Building a new spear at the moment using a Neptonics Reef Trigger mech and Ply wood - The idea is to build a big gun for JT's on a tight budjet. Watch this space...I'm going to Okinawa, japan for a week from the 2nd to the 9th of Jan. Clear-ish on the laws so i've got a pole spear to take just in case. If anyone is from Okinawa and would like to meet during this time or just has any helpful info so i can make the most of my short trip, it would be much appreciated!
Super pumped to get into some warm water and get spearing again, it's baltic here and all the fish have pissed off for winter too!If anybody is going spearing ether Scotland or around Lombok, Indonesia maybe i can help.
