Always use the thinner more confortable to load rubbers, and the thinner shafts are ok too, since you're trying spearfishing as a sport you can start right in the middle and see If it's your bliss, one of the worst things is to have gear that is difficult to deal with. Get stronger rubbers if you want when you have get used to the basic configuration. I think you can't go wrong with a 90 gun.

José, muchas gracias por leer la reseña. Estoy de acuerdo contigo, el mecanismo reverso si da más jalón y distancia, pero es raro y hay que acostumbrarse. Los Marc Valentin son muy buenos. ¿En dónde estás ubicado?

I have a RA 100 as my primary cave/hole gun, And I find it perfect for it, the gun is not so short to reach and touch someone, and not so long as to be cumbersome in tight spaces. A 75 in comparison can only be used for very short range spearfishing, therefore it could be considered as a " speciality" gun, since a cave gun is what it is. Regards...

Since There are no reviews on line about this model, I wanted to share with you guys my insights pertaining to it.

I've never had the opportunity to get any HH spearguns, so when I was in the market for a 140 railgun and I was about to get a Rob Allen tuna, but I came across a similar /American counterpart in the store, and since it was a bit less expensive than the RA, I took my chances with it... Here are my thoughts:

A nice looking and well built rig, with some odd shaped barrel, similar to an Omer ET Cayman, but with an open track instead. The first thing that popped up and was a nice feature was the all metal trigger mechanism, which is a reverse one and gives you a couple of + inches of band stretch, at the cost of having the line release located at the odd left.

The gun has its pros and cons:

    Cons:

It had no insulation or seals, so it sunk like a log. Two other spearguns belonging to friends of mine have suffered from the same issue. They apparently lack final product inspection for quality.

One of the red bands broke at first pull, since that is a consumable, I guess is not a big deal.

The muzzle is a f^%+*g hassle, it's very difficult to string the line with bare hands, impossible wearing gloves.

The mother effing ( not emotionally) line realease located at left it's such a PITA

It's impossible to fit any other shafts into the mech, others than HH or Riffe euro, RA and even other american notches doesn't fit appropriately.

The black plastic that the handle was made out of is kind of brittle, so the trigger guard is a weak spot of the gun.

    Pros

The gun is real sleek and in spite of being so large is confortable to dive with.

Its dead on, absolutely tack driverish accurate with twin 16mm 30" rubbers

It's very powerful, it's more powerful than any other gun in its class range due to the reverse mech and the fact it can accommodate both bands in the same recessed shark fin.

It has a built in RA compatible reel attachment, that works ok.

It has a very smooth trigger pull and all metal trigger mech

    It's inexpensive.

    CONCLUSIONS

I'd have loved that HH people had put more attention to details and had came up with a nicer version of a truly nice speargun. With some tweaks and twists it can be turned into a very capable underwater spearfishing platform...

    Thanks for your attention.

Wellcome! Seac is a quality brand, I don't have much experience with their spearguns tho, but I think it's ok. Look into Beauchat evils, they're nice and not so expensive. 75 cm it's pretty much a hole/cave gun, you'll be better set with a speargun in the 90/100 range which is more versatile... Good luck

Sorry to hear that Marco, it can be quite frustrating to invest a large amount of money on a trip and be disappointed by the equipment. I haven't had experience with the Super Magnums, but I have had three Magnum hybrids (50",55", and 60") they shoot best with twin rubbers in the 16 mm range, and a 9/32 shaft; quite probably they can be fired with a 5/16 shaft no problems. I'm by no means a feeble guy, and I can tell you that three bands are too much for the Mags. My guess 'd be that three 5/8s and a 5/16 it's all a Super magnum can honestly and decently stand, without too much recoil and hitting low. Too much money for such a gun IMO. My Riffe Island with stabilizers is my "go to" bluewater gun, I can fire it single handed with 4 5/8 bands. The thing is dead on. If you ever consider a not so expensive full time BW gun, (not custom of course) a Riffe Island with stabilizers is the way to go...

Rob Torrelli has brass balls, Orcas are so beautiful and badass... then again, they're terrifying AF , there's nothing you can do if they decide to "play" with you... They are still around hurting the local mammal population ...

By the way... I'm a bit rusty, I want to share with you a speargun review, but I forgot how to post pics... Any thoughts?

    Thank you in advance

Sorry for bringing to life an old thread, but I certainly want to chime in. I have had several spearguns of all types and makes over a span of time that can be traced back to at least 15 years ago; during this time I have had 5 Wong spearguns from which 4 were hybrids. My personal experience with them has been of mixed experiences. I bought the hype from the Wong fans on spearboard and ended up believing delusional things about their performance. I was at first disappointed, because I couldn't hit shit with them on a regular basis, no matter how hard I tried. Long story short, I came to realize that there were nothing wrong with the wongs, they perform flawlessly with the right set up. A thinner 9/32 shaft and twin 16 mm rubbers for the most part. (That's a personal opinion of course, this is how they work perfect for me) The hybrids certainly track beautifuly and are very easy to dive with, aside from being gorgeous AF... I still have a Wong hybrid which I enjoy very much, but certainly I have some other guns that I enjoy equally as much. I still think they're really expensive, but I guess Daryl's uber nice service still adds them extra value... Regards

It's been a while, but I hope all my friends around here are ok, safe and sound. My home is available as a rock solid Haven if you want to come over and stay safe. I mean it.

    Tale care out there brothers
