    glad to hear man.

Looking to put some thicker bands on mine and upgrade the shooting line I think.

Looking at hunting some big snappers a little later in the year and feel the upgrade wouldn't hurt.

after some time in the water with it,my suggestion would be to go for one of the shorter versions, especially if the visibility isn't alway perfect where your diving.

Looking at it now I think the 90 or 100 would be better.

The shorter versions also come with the 5/8ths bands so your not compramising on power too much

when I first got into spearfishing I bought myself a pair of SEAC booster long fins.my reasoning behind them was that at their price point(around 110 usd) they offered the durability of polymer blades to get used to long fins but the blades were interchangeable.currently I'm looking to upgrade my blades but I really like the foot pockets.i wanted to ask if anyone knows if DiveR carbon blades would fit these foot pockets?with living in the dominican republic the only way to test this would be to get the blades first and I wanted to check before spending a couple hundred bucks on blades I can't use without buying new foot pockets.😂

    Thanks

Definitely something to consider when I look for an upgrade or replacement gun.

Still can't give honest opinion about the mares strike(as it hasnt arrived yet) but I think if it delivers on what it promises it could arguably be the best beginner/intermediate option for those keen to hunt but on a tight budget.at least the best I've found.🤷🏻‍♂️

Greetings to everyone from luperon in the dominican👋🏼

My name's Dylan and i discovered the sport of spearfishing 2 years ago when I moved here.

Trying to find someone else who goes spearfishing as I find there are a lot of dominican spearos here but all the ones I've met only do it to a certain degree, shooting enough small fish in shallow water to feed themselves and their family for a day.

I still don't consider myself a pro at all, always more to learn, yet I find that the better fish are deeper(due to lots of over fishing in shallow waters with gill nets)

I've shot a good amount of snappers ranging in size here and have seen some absolute giants swimming in these waters

Because of this my self taught diving has lead me to hunt deeper, ranging on average 50-70ft,mostly for snappers but I'm not picky when it comes to good sized good eating fish.hoping to meet others that share the passion for it and im always down to dive with others regardless of experience

It hasnt arrived yet,but ive ordered the mares strike 115 off amazon for 252usd.

been looking to get my own gun(as I've used only other people's old guns)for about a year,my problem was all the pipe guns that had recommendations were ranging upwards of 500 if you wanted a reel on them.stummbled onto the strike and was blown away at the product package for it's price.

Will do a follow up once I've been able to test it for myself
