Got this guy on Sunday at the Coronados. vis sucked huge swell but still managed to get a nice one.
he went 27" and 14lbsI have a video to of it but im not sure if it will work. let me know if it does or doesn't.

i didnt weigh it again but it went 32inch. still nice tho.

The fish went 32inch. I'm not sure what was better shooting catching the fish or the ceviche it gave me

Nice going Hut, if you ever find them on a bolder or rock you can shoot the on a sharp angle if you keep the tip pin sharp. One other thing that may help you see them is a black mask, so your eyes will dilate more without the light coming through the skirt. I have used a favorite Italian mask for thirty years too, but I have a 1/8'' neoprene skirt glued around the frame to keep out the light.It may finally soon get retired if the Bob Hollis mask I ordered fits. I really like that white float line.

Alright guyz. I kicked out around 12:30pm on Tuesday had a bout 5ft -10ft viz after about 2 hours out there I stumbled upon this guy. Enjoy.

Yes sure. that was a great day i was actually in search of a barn door or possibly a WSB but the viz was like 40+ that day in the kelp so i took a nice goat and a few nice calicos for some lunch. ill get you guyz some more cali water shots asap and ill start posting some good reports for everyone in the area.

Hey guys. just thought I would introduce myself as a new member of FSF. The name is Hutton and I love spearfishing. I pretty much joined FSF to find some dive partners. with that being said I live in Leucadia and I primarily dive the beaches and kelp near by (Sea Bluff, Grandview, Beacons, Cardiff, The Rock Pile, La jolla, Wind N' Sea) along with the occasional trip to the Baja. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE bugging. ummmmmm.... I've been diving for maybe 3 years with a gun and before that I used a pole-spear for like 2. now I shot a Mako 110cm oceanic pro and I love it! so let me know when anyone wants to go on a dive.
