Hi every body, Ive been reading your posts for a few days now, so I already feel like I know some of you. Mostly just Dan, because there isnt a thread without him in it. Im not complaining, the guy looks like he eats sleeps and shits freediving.
I was looking around for some new fins and just got blown away by the wealth of info that you guys have on here about equipment.
I should say Im not a spearo... yet. Its just the joys of being in the water without air for me right now. I would like to try spearfishing at some point. Just looking for the right intro, you know?
Ive been freediving about 6 months now all here in sunny Dubai. ( and by sunny i mean its 109degrees and its 1am! hah I just cant get over the summers here) :grin:
There is a large spear fishing community here, but as I understand it, its illegal to spearfish in many places. So get this, some guys own jet skis, see jet skiing is allowed. So they head out on their jet skis and get it done that way. Pure freediving is a growing sport here too
Still if anyone is down here, give me a shout and ill get you in touch with some of the guys who own jet skis.
