Don, No.... the hunt - and the eating are the fun part for me.............. Most of the spots I dive are just OK to good halibut spots...... not great spots.................. And I spend a lot of time looking at sand..................just sand............

It's all perspective... because a lot of parents would find a F-bomb in text less offensive than the pic you posted in another thread...
Just commenting, not judging. Personally, F-bombs don't bother me (in moderation) because I'm not a parent... and cool nudie pics just make me happy.

IMO Explicatives lose there usefullness when overused................
There are times............... nearly all of us use them...............
Most of us would do well to use less....
My 2 year old grandson spends a lot of time with us................ stuff I need to work on..
We really dont need to use the F word.............
I once worked with a guy that managed a huge grading operation................ $ tens of 1000's of work a day in the Santa Monica Mtns................... he had come up thru the ranks.......... He used the F**ken like a lot of people use "you know".................... another bad habit a lot of us need to work on.................. was with him was about every third to fifth word!.......
Gentilemens agreement is great.................
just dont get me going on the f****ing MLPA or F***ing politicians............... or ..... well you know what i mean.............

They're tough to find.
But that's what makes for a fun hunt!

I've done this for years at Laguna...... but I usually limit it to 10 to 15#s per dive..... Keep the new ones for my H&L activities and re pour the old ones.
Hello, several of the CA guys know me............. for the rest.
I started diving in 1950 or 51, but did not spear my first fish until 1952....... All at Laguna Beach, CA.
I started out as "tube boy" following my Dad around on or pushin a gunnysack covered innertube to put his catch in.........My Dad, Ralph, started diving and spearfishing in So Cal in the early 30's
I continue to mainly dive Laguna..... but - sadly.... all of my favorite spots will be closed within a year or 2 when the Laguna State Marine Reserve in put in place.
While most of my diving has been in Laguna, I've had the opportunity to dive in many places around the world.... but, So Cal remains a favorite place to hunt............ What do I hunt.... Halibut.... duh.
I also spend a couple of months in Maui each year........ I love the clear warm water and variety of fish....
