I am pretty sure most of the guys down here use a trap bouy and cheap line. I have a 130 railgun a 75' float line 10ft bungie and a RA 11L Hard Float. I am quite sure that setup should land one without much trouble although I do know for a fact that a slip tip is a good investment.

It may sound bad but I actually enjoy stuck up women. The women down here ~`~`~`~` everyone on the island then cry about it lol. I am afraid of turning into one of the permanent residents of the keys that have 6 teeth in their face and love every minute of it :(

Vis and sharks are not a problem. I will invite the environazis to dive with me. I wont be able to dive in a 7mm in winter? ughhh that one kills me!

Hi my brother is desperately trying to get me to move out to Cali with him. I have a job lined up at the gas company there if I go. So my question is...how is the diving over there?

    Thanks!

I didn't shoot, but my buddy paul shot a nice 20lb+ king that was eaten in around two bites....the king looks tiny but the camera is a little weird. If you have ever seen big bulls they have a huge hump in their back like the ones in the vid, so they were NOT small ;)

I agree. Nailed a nice goatfish and felt good about myself. If I shot that I ne feeling great:D

The hardest thing about shots from above is that the fish can juke in a lot more directions as opposed to just left or right.

    Beautiful fish

I shot him down behind his fin and out the bottom....I am actually holding his guts in with my hand lol.

I can put three on it if I need to. I needed a gun with a reel that wouldnt turn into a huge cluster~`~`~`~` of line when I was diving in rough water. So I went with reel+ enclosed track, but I also needed it to be thin like my railguns or I would never use it. THAT is why I paid the money, because it fit my needs perfectly. Yes I can kill fish with 1 band or 3 bands but that was my last priority. Three bands and a 62" shaft with a sliptip would most likely dominate wahoo, blackfin tuna, or a fat black. It worked just fine today ;)

I shot him from above while swimming at the surface in about 25ft so it was about an 8-10ft shot from the tip of the gun.

Matt did say he broke a band. I guess Hatch invests more into the other parts of the gun.

He made the bands in a hurry to ship it out since I ordered it late in the day. I could care less about bands/shafts as long as the design works for me. I am not as sophisticated as you guys and I only require one band to kill fish ;)

It was windy so I just terrorized the fish in the canal. I broke a band loading it and I think I will be putting a short shaft into it but other then that shes perfect. Shoots soooooooooooooooooooooo smooth!!

Well the gun is definitely worth the money. It is a wood gun ballasted for 3x5/8 bands yet it handled like my railgun. That is all I wanted in a gun...no bells and whistles just a simple effective design. I just have to master the art of the speargun reel and I will be set...lol.
