Don't worry Miguel, I'm terrible at identifying the difference too. I've shot 2 sargo, both were in the same school, and one was a sargo and one was not a sargo...

The new lens fits perfectly in place of the original. It's impossible for it to fall out. It's rated to the same depth as the Gopro housing. It's very easy to install and take out, simply unscrew the small screws with a Phillips screwdriver, but I wouldn't recommend doing it too many times for fear of stripping the screw holes. The new lens has a disadvantage in that some resolutions that are useful out of the water have a vignette effect, see the video I posted. If you must use those resolutions for out of the water filming, and the vignette effect in the corners is not acceptable, then I recommend to buy another Gopro housing rather than be switching out lenses. A new housing is $40, and you'll have an extra lens from the first housing.

Sounds like the best solution, thanks!

Quick question. I am planning on getting a GoPro HD soon and using it mostly for diving, but I will definitely use it some for surfing as well. How well is the new lens fixed on, would I have any problems with the lens falling off or leaking? Is it easy to take on and off or not worth it?

New to this board, but it seems like I recognize most of the members on here from somewhere...

Live in Mission Viejo (in Orange County) but go to school at Pepperdine, on the coast in Malibu. Do most of my diving right near the school up here, and Laguna when home with occasional trips to PV and San Diego. Looking forward to lobster season, especially after this ugly summer. Fall is my favorite time up here in Malibu, still a chance for pelagics, clearest water of the year, plenty of reef fish, and lobster. With the occasional chanterelle mushroom hunt thrown in ;). Looking forward to contributing and always looking for new faces to dive with.
