Hey Spearfishing Planet, the names Danny and I am novice spearo basically having a hard time on convincing my "Fishing Partner(s)" into switching the game to Spearing. Anyways, Im basically looking for a new crew to go diving with. I have a clean, yet small 16ft Bay Boat with a 90 Yamaha that definately can do the trick if your willing to handle the bumpy, wet ride. Due to my line of work (Registered Nurse) I am able to get out during the week and weekend (always varies). Please keep in mind, I am 32 years old so I am really not looking for any young "wreckless" spearo's. I am also willing to contribute more than my fair share to any crew who lacks one more diver on their boat. Thanks in advance and I hope to hear from someone soon.

Just wanted to know if there is a certain technique when inserting and setting the fins into the pockets.? Do you use 5200 or is there another type of adhesive seal that is preffered..? Thanks in advance..

Thanks for the feedback fellas. I will definately continue to dive and more than likely hold off on any courses. Now only if this crappy weather would go away. Thanks for the invite Matt, hopefully one day I could take you up on that.

Whats up community, hows everybody doing.? Being that im new to the awesome world of spearfishing, I figured I should ask a stupid question. How important is it to take a course in spearfishing.? I was strongly recommended on doing so for a few different reasons, safety & downtime being of most importance. However, the cost of these courses are pretty costly ($450.00) and I really wasnt sure on what I would gain from it. I currently feel comfortable and well informed from the postings provided from you guys (by the way, thanks) and I figured I can just keep picking your brains as I stumble into certain situations. Is this wrong.? So I ask you, do I kick out the extra COIN on the class or do I continue to grow thru personal experience and the help from this kick ass forum. Thanks in advance.

Great Vid & Music... As Dan mentioned above, it seemed like you were shooting from pretty far distance with great accuracy. Being that Im new to all of this, Im curious to know what is the safest shooting range (give or take) on landing an acurate kill shot. Im working with an Biller 48. Thanks.

Hey everybody in the community, my name is Danny Cantillo. I am 32 years old, born and raised in Miami, Florida, latin background (Costa Rica & Cuba). I enjoy anything that has to do with the great outdoors. Recently I had the opportunity to try out spearfishing out of Homestead / Angelfish Creek, needless to say, I loved every moment of it and I am hoping to learn much more...:thumbsup2:
