I know this is an old thread but I just stumbled across it while looking for some advice on building my first gun. Right now Im in college and have limited access to tools. Those blanks you make are not only beautiful but impressively shaped. I was wondering if you sell those or not. Im thinking of making a 54" euro style gun with an epoxy enclosed track a neptonics trigger and one of those AR-15 style handles that tinman made set in about 6" from the butt. I want have 3 holes for 5/8"" bands and west systems epoxy to coat the wood. If you have any tips they would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds great. How long do you plan on making them for? I want to build my own gun but i need to save up some money first.

These handles are of course compatible with a standard trigger like the neptonics or the alexander style right? They dont have to be used for a mid handle like the one you have set up. BTW they look amazing! The best and most comfortable looking grips ive ever seen for a speargun.

Hey guys and girls,

Right now Im stuck in my dorm in landlocked Atlanta GA. I live in Miami but I'm up at school at GA Tech. Ive been spearfishing and diving for a little over a year now and although I am scuba certified I much prefer the freedom of freediving. Im thinking about taking one of the FII level 2 courses at some point and my PB static is 3:15. Most of the diving I do is around the reefs in 30-40 ft just on the outside of the bay. I have a 23 contender that I take out as much as possible. Recently I've gotten the idea of making first speargun so if anyone has some tips they would be much appreciated.
