I like the quick release straps better than the belt buckle type.I like the knife on my left upper arm or right upper thigh. My 3mm suit has a knife pocket that I glued to the suit, for my other suits I use quick release straps on my left upper arm.

I don't have a knife big enough to cover my lower unit, and don't like any knives near it.Just a personal preference.

We went with Punta Mita Expeditions. They treated us very well.Sebastian runs the operation and he dives and spears along with you which helps a lot because blue water diving is still unfamiliar to me.

Just got back from a fun trip to Punta Mita with my brother and my wife.We dove last Wednesday Thursday and Friday. The visibility was not great because of a lot of recent rain, mostly between 15-30ft.Most of the tuna were staying deep but we did get a few shots.I managed to land a nice fat yellowfin about 100lbs and my biggest snapper ever about 40lbs.

Thanks for the welcome. We are planning to dive with Keith Love in Texas next weekend and the following week we are going to Mexico to dive with Sebastian in Punta Mita.Hope to have some good stories and pictures to share.

Hey everyone.I'm new to this forum but not new to freediving and spearing fish.I started spearing in the early 70's mostly in the keys and Bahamas.I helped Connor Davis collect lots of specimens for his research on the basic Biology of Hog fish.Connor and I collected 50 specimens one day while freediving with slings.

Now I live in Lake Charles,Louisiana where I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon.

My favorite place to dive is around Bimini and I'm beginning to get into diving around the offshore oil rigs here in Louisiana.

I stumbled on to this forum today while looking for information about various fin blades and found a thread with all the info I was seeking.

My interest in this forum is to learn from others and share reports and possibly find some new dive buddies, all my old buddies are in Florida.
