Anyone making big plans? Probably going to swim out to the pompano ledge as usual sat and sunday unless someone has a better idea. If someone has a mighty ship bound for 30-40 foot stuff I would love to tag along and expand my horizons beyond dodging jet skiers along the mooring ball line.(Yes I would definately throw down on gas/ice/beer)

Glad to see you on here young Patrick. You wearin a speedo til you find a wetsuit is cool,,, but the potato goes in the front of it, not the rear dude. Hopefully, you can learn other good stuff from the members on this site.

Yesterday was beautiful- your're right the office came within an inch of getting a sick day call---and then of course the wind picked back up again today. Not to mention a 9-5 w/ daylightsavings = no bueno for spearo

My name is Patrick. I live on Pompano Beach, and as such, I hit the Pompano Ledge south of the pier whenever I can. Macdyver got me hooked on this insanity about 3 months ago. My prior aquatic experience is snorkeling in the keys every summer since...well since before I found out the tooth fairy isn't real.(My personal fav. is shooting thru the coral heads of Sombraro reef at depth on a strong current with no tanks and buzzing the scuba tourists ) I swam competitively in college and did quite a bit of sailing and windsurfing in highschool. I just picked up an OMER Atoll float and am working with a an Omer Bandit mask (not an omer fan boy it just worked out that way) a Bandito twin band...I have no idea what the size is but it's like an economy mode 38 special,it gets the job done ,TUSA scuba fins (looking for real freediving fins but the size 12.5 ground punders reduce the good used market options.) some no name hand me down snorkel and weight belt, gloves, and booties that came with the fins courtsey of pops. Macdyver told me I'm getting too comfortable going down past 30 and hanging out so a freediving cert. course in in my near furure, as is a custom(6'4"@175lbs=forget off the rack) wetsuit to keep up with the winter diving season. Now that I've bored you all to death you can pass judgement on me :laughing3: yay! See ya out there...
