I am looking forward to the story Don has promised reguarding the Dragon's history and hopefully where that whale fits in :thumbsup2:

End of the parade, Maybe a whaler or 2 with fire extinguishers as response/chase boats for any laboring swimmers, release forms... a little huevos on the cities part... I'm just sayin

I wonder, in the previous decades that the Dragon Swim took place if there has ever been any type of incident to prompt city officials halt the tradition? Has our society become so scared and timid that they must stop anyone from thinking outside the ever-shrinking box? I would think with proper planning and safe guards implemented it could be made safe (as safe as swimming...), but thats asking the city to think outside that damn box :rolleyes1:

Hi, My name is Scott Bamsey and I've been a certified (scuba) diver for almost 30 yrs and I started Freediving about a year ago. I did some polespearing back in the 80's & 90's mainly for Halibut and Calicos on trips to Catalina. I have a boat and been fishing (rod & reel) most of my life. I've mostly been doing beach dives in PV and Laguna and dove Cat when I've been there for a weekend (not a dive only trip).
I know how to use the search funtion and use it. I don't comment too much on threads as I am usually soaking up info and don't feel I should be giving any advise on sprearing at this point. I've dove with a couple guys through SB that I see here too and am looking forward to getting out alot more this next year.
Scott
