While "someone" beached himself on the rocks to warm up & take a nap...
Heck yeah. My nice black wetsuit + warm sun = nighty night. Fun day.

I don't really lean toward either. They will stand out or blend in better in different areas. My buddy has the green and it looks great against the water, but stands out when I'm above and he's on the reef. Blending in doesn't matter when you're shivering.
Also, any thoughts on Dan's New brown suits as far as it blending in for offshore reefs, sandy bottoms, kelp, etc.? Any feedback would be much appreciated...
From a color point of view. The brown suit in that pic will not blend with the kelp at or near the surface. The giant kelp in California ranges from golden to sienna and there are none of those tones in that suit. Depending on how deep you are on the reef will determine if you blend in. In shallow there are lots of greens (eel grass) reds/purples/pinks (hard and soft algae), so that brown will stand out there as well.
With that pattern that suit looks like it will blend in on sandy patches with algae and clam holes and deeper parts of a reef.
IMHO a good kelp camo (like it matters btw :rolleyes1::)) would consist of golds/warm browns and pea green.
Bottom line is to get a suit that fits well and is warm. My buddy wears one of those Pursuits and last time I dove with him he was in the water for over 6 hours in water in the high 40's. :@
Well... your boss is kind of a dick... :rolleyes1:
Want me to pee in his coffee again?
I have another boss now. Making it two. He has me painting high tech cut out chunks of wood and metal... and yes pee in his coffee.:)
We gotta hit south Big Sur before your woman pops.
After this show, life will begin again. At this point I feel like a one man sweatshop.
That is one of the best homemade videos yet. Love the editing buildup to all the olives going down. Glad you found someone to go with.
What an amazing raffle table. You guys have done a great job organizing this.
Beautiful fish. Not making the YT trek to El Sargento this March, so please keep posting up.

So true Joe.
Wow man, Wow. I thought it was a photo until I looked at it closely!
Thanks Chris. Some photo, lots of digital painting and composing.
The name for this style is Trompe l'oeil, meaning something to the effect of fool the eye.
I finally finished the event art. whew! We'll have t-shirts available at the event.
Look forward to meeting and seeing some of you there.
Just got off the phone with one of the mods here and decided to check this place out. I saw two posts by fuzz on the front page of the California section, so that gives me hope.
Here is my formal intro for those of you who do not know me. My name is Amadeo. I live in La Selva Beach about a five minute walk from the Monterey Bay. I dive year round, but winters tend to be dedicated to surfing. Favorite fish to hunt are WSB, Pargo, Halibut about in that order. My newest addiction is freediving for bugs during the day. Super fun. Not afraid of a rod and reel either.
Hopefully I'll have something to contribute.
