Officials of the Department of Environment Maryland are investigating the death of two million fish in the Chesapeake Bay.

La investigación aparece días después de que aproximadamente 100,000 peces fueran encontrados muertos en el noroeste de Arkansas. Las autoridades sospechaban en un inicio de una enfermedad, sin embargo, notaron que solo los peces juveniles eran afectados y que la calidad del agua era aceptable.
Esta no es la primera vez que grandes cantidades de peces mueren en Maryland pues un hecho similar ocurrió en 1976 y 1980.
