Welding question

    jeb:crazy:

sometimes i m asking if the freaks know that they are in the majority..

  • Sorry about sidetracking your weld thread Dan, with all the posts here you should be welding at at the Cape soon.;) buddy.

The original real deal Zubrowka would get you swinging with the cool chicks, but if you were a hard core
freediver with a resting heartbeat in the high forty's, a night of partying on Zubrowka and the blood thinner
grass could cause one to be....should we say less Hard Core.:(:laughing3:

The stuff was banned here for over thirty years, the grass in the US import now is just flavor.
Now seeing this thread is about welding.... the newbies will find that sliced cucumber laid over the eye lids help
reduce the burn you get if you flash your pupils before dropping the hood, and it's good to have a little O around if you drink to much wodka.:D

    Cheers, Don

  • Well you are getting replies from real experts who are great welders but I'll throw my .02 cents in anyways. TIG looks the most professional but it's more expensive and is great for large area welds. At work we have a millermatic mig welder with autofeed and gas. I build a lot of stainless steel nets (I'm a marine biologist) and use stainless wire with trimix gas. Usually I'll tack weld a spot to hold the material together then slowly weld the rest of the bead. I'm pretty lame and my welds hold fine so if I can do it, anyone probably can.

Our mig can weld mild steel, stainless, and aluminum with a swap of the spools, change of the gas, and a spool gun (for the aluminum only). We use it for a lot of small jobs. I like it so much that I'm thinking of getting a cheap harbor freight one for home for little jobs.
