FERNANDO YURGEVIC GANADOR DE TORNEO DE PESCA SUBMARINA PLAYA CARAMUCHO
Martes, 15 de noviembre de 2011 - Con más de 30 competidores, en la caleta Caramucho se realizó el segundo campeonato de pesca submarina y recolección de especies, evento financiado por el Instituto Nacional del Deporte (IND), con el apoyo de la Ilustre Municipalidad de Iquique.
Se impuso el deportista Nicolás Yurgevic, quien obtuvo el champion de la jornada con un pez acha de más de nueve kilos.
La actividad contó con la autorización de la capitanía del Puerto de Patache y Sernapesca, quienes fiscalizaron en terreno el trabajo del Club Caramucho, encontrando todo en regla, tras lo cual se realizó el pesaje y característico almuerzo de camaradería. En primera categoría pesca submarina se impuso Fernando Yurgevic, con 25.435 puntos, sacando amplia ventaja a sus escoltas: Eduardo Pizarro (13.175), Luis Rodríguez (12.650), Orlando Araya (8.390), Ronaldo Fernández (7.435), Pedro Lay (4.345), Luis Muñoz (2.035), además de Luis Araya y Sebastián Celedón, que terminaron sin pesca.
En segunda categoría, el líder de la jornada fue William Huerta (6.810), quien superó por estrecho margen a Alexis González (6.710) y a Esteban Olivares (6.355). Más atrás quedaron: Alberto Olivares (5.425), Elías Araya (5.320) Miguel Rojas (2.670) y Félix Blanco (1.235).
En categoría sénior destacó Raúl López con un total de 3.220 puntos, seguido de Juan Piérola con 1.180 unidades y Raúl Carlos, sin pesca.
La categoría recolección de especies quedó en manos de Francisco Carlos, quien extrajo un total de 15 especies, seguido con 11 que obtuvo Jimmy Gómez y 5 de Nicolás Yurgevic.
Fernando Yurguevic, además de obtener el primer lugar de su categoría, se adjudicó el reconocimiento al pez mayor, al obtener un pez acha de 9 kilos 620 gramos.
La tercera fecha se disputará el próximo domingo 20 en Playa Caramucho, jornada dedicada al aniversario del 132 aniversario de la ciudad de Iquique, evento que entregará equipos de buceo a los primeros lugares, como una forma de incentivar a estos deportistas submarinos. Diario 21
